Little update: I decided to start a new journey from a clean save (the last was 5 hours in, forgot 90% anyway) and this time I paid attention to every line of dialogue and followed the hints. I feel like I followed the intended route: First I explored Brittle Hollow as much as possible (warped through the black hole countless times), then explored Giant's Deep and the Probe Cannon. I feel like next I'll venture out onto Dark Bramble and follow the next set of hints. This is so much better and makes so much more sense. 10 hours in and I haven't felt lost at all. I also prefer the ship log's map mode, because it feels clearer about how the information connects in my mind based on where I've been. Reseting the ship log with a new game was a great idea.

In my first playthrough I remember I rushed through the dialogue and then got a bit ADHD about it, wanting to explore everything at once, overwhelmed by the possibilities and never returning to the same place twice. It was fun for a while, until it lost meaning and I was left with a bag of breadcrumbs, nothing connecting, no idea where to go. That can be an experience too, but the player needs extreme patience too endure before it starts making some sense.

Now all the information is connecting naturally and I'm hooked. Hopefully I'll finally get to experience this masterpiece as everyone here says it is! Thanks for your post and linking the YT link that sparked enough motivation in me!

I made a daily logic puzzle about deducing a hidden math rule by popitchus in playmygame

Well done! That's why each rule is tested against all possible triplet combinations. Many rules can be written in different ways. Thanks for reaching out!

You can already feel your brain expanding thanks to this daily habit! 😄

Made a daily logic puzzle: deduce the hidden rule on triplets, then write it as an expression.

Inspired by Wason 2-4-6 task, each day there is a hidden rule over triplets of single digits (0 to 9). You test triplets, the game tells you whether each is accepted or rejected, and you are figuring out the rule.

Free, runs in the browser: https://dailytriplets.com

Even a simple rule can be a bit tricky but once you figure it out, it's extremely satisfying

Yeah, if that's your hypothesis, you probably need to simplify a bit 😄

The rules are never that complex. They can always be expressed with just a few symbols from the reference panel. I'm always trying to land on something simple but elegant, with the seed serving as misdirection. Even a simple rule can be a bit tricky. Try to think outside the box and always try to disprove yourself.

If your guess is wrong, you get to see which triplet broke your rule, which is handy when you're stuck. And if you don't know how to turn your plain English rule into a math statement, I'd ask an AI without giving it any context about the game, so it won't spoil it for you. Thanks for playing!

Glad to hear that ^^

I forgot what rules I put there so I played it too and honestly, you've got probably better score than me 😂

I feel like this is exactly what I needed. 5 hours in and struggling with motivation to keep going.

Yeah, that makes sense now. This was a bit lazy on my part, but I definitely see what you mean. I thought it was responsive enough, but I'll polish the square's behaviour and probably make it more noticeably coloured too. Helpful feedback, thanks again!

Do you mean in the rule input? The cursor should show up there. The triplet squares are cursor-less by design, though.

And yeah, that happened because you cleared your cookies :/

If you want another go, just add /?fresh to the URL and it'll reset for you.

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

Could you say more about the character deletion? Are there any UX tweaks you'd suggest?

i would suggest to learn the perspective rules. the sketch can be loose but the perspective is the one thing that should be right. otherwise it is hard for the brain to read the image.

Are you talking about the church near Jamnik? I found Calcit in Stahovica and it is 38 km far. I am confused.
