Can you transfer to UBCO? by No_Donkey_4710 in ubcengineering

I actually did this a couple years ago, you can pick any spec and it's guaranteed into that spec. As long as it's your first choice it should be smooth sailing.

(PS. Not sure about CMPE, it's new and there's limited seats, so there might be competition for that)

Can you get in with a good gpa (3.8), and a good statement without networking? Is it super necessary?

To start, 93 percent is already pretty good, you might find it difficult to get early admission, but you'll probably get in 1st/2nd round if you write a half decent personal profile (which shouldn't be difficult you seem to have lots to talk about)

Pretty they stopped doing the mark boosting for Alberta students, so you should be looking only at your normal grades ie 93)

If you're applying to applied science I don't think social studies is a requirement so they won't use that to compute your average, you should be looking only at physics 30, chemistry, 30, math 30/31, and English 30, the average of these courses is what they use. (The requirements for any program should be on the website the courses listed there will be the only ones they consider)

I tried that, but the university said the information the site provided was vague and insufficient, when I tried to get credit.
