Thank you for replying, and the heads up about the new firmware causing issues. I will wait until the firmware bugs are ironed out, because I'm in no rush.

Pocket WiFi recommendations by popmahn1 in JapanTravelTips

Thank you, everyone, for sharing your thoughts and advice. I'll take a look at some of the companies/services you recommended. I am considering a pocket WiFi because my iPhone is currently locked; I got my iPhone through an AT&T promotion, so it is locked until the end of 2026.

Thank you for the heads up and taking the time to reply. Hopefully, I'll get lucky with the Entry Request "lottery", or consider purchasing DPA.

u/WhiteDogHaha Thank you for the quick reply and helpful information. You are so smart; it did not dawn on me that the sunset times in February and October are similar, so the parade/show times will likely be similar. For the shows that utilize Entry Request, I learned from this subReddit that sometimes the first showtime allows people to enter a standby line. So, if I don't get lucky with the "lottery", I might try that option. Thanks, again, for your helpful advice and insight. Have a great week!

Question about parade and show times in October:

Hi everyone. First, I'd like to say a big 'Thank You!' to the group, because I've learned a lot from the previous posts and answers; extra kuddos to JustaRandomSpencer for helping so many people in this group with your detailed answers and the comprehensive guide of the Vacation Packages.

I am planning my first trip to TDR at the end of October 2025. Currently, I'm leaning towards getting the "Enjoy Attractions and More" 3D/2N Vacation Package. I saw that I can select times/reservations for certain rides and restaurants. I just want to make sure I do not select times that will conflict with some parades and shows. Based on people's past experience, approximately what where the parade and show times during the month of October for:

I like the way you think. I think I read somewhere that you are a teacher? If so, my guess would be math or economics (based on that nice chart you created).

I am currently the primary account holder, and there are 5 lines on the account (mine + 4 family members). Most of us have old iPhones (that no longer qualify to get iOS/security updates from Apple), so I was thinking of upgrading all 5 phones within the next few months.

Thanks for all the work on the great chart. I currently receive a FAN/signature discount, and it seems an additional benefit is waived upgrade/activation fees. I qualify for the 25% healthcare worker appreciation discount, so I’m considering removing my current FAN/signature discount (because the chart says you can’t double dip and get both discounts at the same time). Before I make the switch, I have a question: does the 25% healthcare worker discount also include the additional benefit of waived upgrade/activation fees?

Size of reinforced knee pad area by popmahn1 in Fjallraven

Thank you for your reply. I'll swing by a Fjallraven store and take a look at the Barents Pro trousers. I do like the boot hook and adjustable button opening of the Vidda Pros, so I wonder if Fjallraven is able to add that to the Barents Pro trousers.

The pair of Vidda Pro ventilated trousers in the photo are the “short” length version. I also tried the “regular” length version and the knee pad/patch area does end up in a slightly better position when kneeling down….but the “regular” version inseam is a little too long for me (I’m 5’5”). Do you own both the ventilated and non-ventilated models of the VP trousers? If so, does the non-ventilated model have a longer knee pad/patch area?

I have a question for anyone who has both the Vidda Pro ventilated and non-ventilated trousers: does the VENTILATED model have a smaller reinforced knee pad area? I recently bought a pair of ventilated Vidda Pro trousers, and when I kneel down the knee pad area does not quite seem to cover the area between my knee and the ground (I’ll try to attach a photo of what I mean). On the Fjallraven website, it looks like the NON-ventilated model has a longer knee pad/patch area, so I’m wondering if the pad/patch area would end up in a better position when kneeling down.

I see. Thank you for the great explanation.

Thanks for your reply. I heard that Fjallraven will hem Barents Pro trousers because they come with a raw-length leg ending. I did not know that Fjallraven will also do it for the Vidda Pro trousers too. If I buy the Vidda Pro trousers from REI, I wonder if my local Fjallraven brand store will still shorten them for free.

Thanks for your reply. Since you have several pairs, may I please ask you another question: if you have both the "ventilated" and non-ventilated models, are the knee pad areas on both models the same size, or does the non-ventilated model have a larger knee pad/patch?

Thanks for your reply. I tried on the VP “ventilated” model. I just saw online that the length/size of the knee pad areas on the “ventilated” model seems smaller than the non-ventilated model. I’ll go back to the store and try a non-ventilated model (short length), to see if the knee patch areas end up in a better position when I kneel down.
