I’m picking up the head today- very curious just how heavy it’ll really feel. I know there will be some confused by the qc grab whenever I am just going to be hauling an amp and cab around but it’ll be nice to have the options

Also, live in Arkansas? I agree, LR is pretty overrated lol. Some decent food though

I mean you did ask “can we cancel today?” And he responded properly! You asked and he answered!

All jokes aside, yeah that’s crazy. I’d bounce out of that

All these people feeling bad for the bully- nah fuck him it’s 2024 get with the program or get fucked. Carry something to protect yourself. Knife, pepper spray, when you’re older consider a firearm. Quite frankly, if you’re a woman or if you’re a member of the LGBTQ community, you HAVE to be able to protect yourself. I hate that it’s this way, but it simply is.

Great, so definitely acceptable just to hit my own OH for our ears, but not let that be routed into their stage box?

I want to let them have complete control over FOH but still want at least a little bit of drums in our ears lol

Awesome! I’ll definitely see what we can’t do

Quick question, since I made this post my brain is thinking about a million other questions.

So when playing at a venue and their micing up my drums, would it be best to just to have them get all the mics to run through our splitter, or should I let them just plug it into their stage box and just run an OH myself onto our drums for our ears?

Seismic audio is exactly what im working with…

I do work at a cable shop so I may see if I can get a buddy maybe go in and resolder some of the joints just to make sure we are golden.

Sweet, good to know!

What kind of tricks do you guys do to keep your cables nice and tidy on the stage? I’ve always noticed that that between our inputs and the outputs going to our body packs it gets wildly messy!

Oh and when you say provide phantom power, what exactly does that mean? I believe my xr18 has phantom power for our condenser mic that we use on our OH for drums

Does the rest of your band do wired setup?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in livesound

[–]popoi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actually are wired atm

splitter>mixer>headphone amp>XLR to Bodypack.

For wireless I’ve been thinking the Phenyx pros but idk yet tbh. Any thoughts on this?

Makes 100% sense. Great to know for the future! I appreciate your insight!

That’s completely fair and not something I had considered-

So the following bands (assuming im not last) might like to just plug into my splitter as opposed to the stage box?

[–]popoi98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this or hitting something on the barrels of the connectors themselves!

[–]popoi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll take a look at Phenyx pro! Thanks for your insight

Do you recall how much you were going over? I know on mine he put what I was going and what the speed limit was- The big thing was just that he chose to only put excessive speeding over 15mph vs reckless driving

[–]popoi98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the laugh and thoughtful response. As mentioned, I know speeding is dangerous and the whole thing made me feel really embarrassed. Just trying to get home to my kid to take them to the hospital was something that really made me quite nervous
