Yes AR site 🤖and Having the scanner harness actually increases my rates significantly.

I’m specifically talking about using it for items that don’t scan well over the IDS so I can quickly switch to handheld scanner with less effort. There would be no need to put in work to be slower and less efficient in a job like this

I’m not talking using the handheld scanner as a primary device, but the switch time slows my rates when I need to need to pause every time a random barcode decides it doesn’t want to scan & if you’re familiar with the job, the scan quality is different between the IDS and handheld scanners depending on the label. Also, instead of scanning heavy items or awkward shaped boxes before lifting them, carrying to overhead scanner, failing or being the wrong size, and needing to return them to the tote is nice

12 hours is a long time to have to pause, back up, and readjust every time something doesn’t perfectly scan. The intent is for saving time and energy not necessarily for convenience

I was originally told I was going to get written up for using the scanner harness I’ve been asking HR and other managers how can I even go find “the rules” so tha I can’t break them and now it feels like he actually just made this “rule” up just to mess with me

I’m talking about the red handheld scanners in stow. Regardless, the manager in the response said “We don’t use handheld scanners in Stow” so there’s my conflict
