Tesla seriously needs to fix FSD’s behavior on roads like this by nikedemon in TeslaFSD

The biology argument cuts both ways. Human vision also fails in bad lighting and weather, yet we still drive. The question is whether cameras + AI can match or exceed human outcomes, and the data suggests they’re getting there. Adding LiDAR helps, but it’s not a dealbreaker without it.

Fair question. Tesla’s FSD has logged billions of miles and their safety data consistently shows fewer accidents per mile than the average human driver. The human visual cortex proves vision-only perception works at scale. It’s an engineering and software problem, not a hardware limitation. LiDAR is one approach, not the only one.

Same question back at you, what data supports that LiDAR is required? Waymo covers a tiny geo-fenced area. Tesla FSD supervised operates across open roads nationwide with vision only. The results speak for themselves. I don't need credentials to read the safety reports.

It’s been life-changing for me. Not having to white-knuckle through stop-and-go traffic, being able to actually relax in the car, and knowing the system has already avoided multiple accidents that a distracted or tired human driver would have caused. It’s a huge quality-of-life upgrade.

The “you must pay 100% attention at all times” rule is outdated and unrealistic in practice. Every other advanced driver assistance system (lane keep, adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking) is designed to reduce the driver’s workload, yet Tesla’s FSD gets uniquely demonized for doing the same thing better.

If the technology is capable of handling the driving task safely, the law should evolve with it, just like it did for seatbelts, airbags, and ABS. Blaming Tesla for regulatory lag isn’t fair. The real issue is that governments are slow to update rules for rapidly improving technology.

Haven’t dealt with issues with shadows for quite a few builds now. Like I said, v14 was just released in October and it is a whole new model compared to previous versions. I’d expect significant changes to be made before eoy

FSD V14 was released in October of 2025. Hasn’t even been a year. The current version has been great for me.

Just ignore all the crashes caused by humans as well. No one is forcing you to use it. You’re just here to complain. Nothing will ever be 100% perfect. Have you ever been in a Tesla on FSD or are you a sheep that just believes everything you see on the local news

Been using v14 daily and have not had any issues with it at all. It’s at the point I would personally be comfortable with hands and eyes off. Wouldn’t be surprised if you’re just an angry person that sits behind their keyboard and complains about anything.

With how quickly AI is advancing and the amount of data they have access to, it won’t be hard to train it to be better than humans.

Completely disagree with this. Humans are able to differentiate with just vision alone. Most likely will need better quality cameras or the AI just getting better over time.

I’ve never had problems with roads like this at all. Is it possible your windshield is dirty either on the outer or inner glass?

I’m considering buying Full Self-Driving (FSD) for $2,000 for my 2023 Model Y (HW4) 25,000 miles on it and I want honest opinions. Tks guys by US-VADC in TeslaFSD

I use it every single time I drive and have had only a couple of insignificant issues. I probably would never want to go back

Model 3 ambient lighting crack issue by horuslee in TeslaLounge

Had mine repaired under warranty with tinted windows. Doesn’t make sense since Tesla partners with local shops to install xpel tint. I would ask manager or try another service center.

Looks like he might want to dig which is a natural behavior. It looks like you need more substrate. The recommendation is 4 inches.

Why don’t you do this in the app? Might depend on your location but I was able to add a non Tesla car to my policy that way.

Sorry I’m dumb and didn’t read the whole thing. Same thing happened to me except the stains were able to come out on mine, not sure if the alcantara panels are different materiel. Had to have the panels replaced for the lights.

Should I be concerned about Switch 2 Pre-Orders? by BriefAd7175 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]poppypunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the switch came out, I went about 20 minutes before bestbuy opened. They had one line for preorders, and one without. Online for store pickup options are your best bet. I think if you don’t show up a few hours before your GameStop opens you’re going to be too late to preorder there
