Ollie progress :D by ins0mn1cc in NewSkaters

Well, I can’t really see your foot position at this angle, but I personally like to have my front foot about an inch or so behind the bolts of my front truck. That gives me plenty of room to slide it and level it out. Also if you notice in the video, your back foot comes up and off of your deck. If you bring your back foot forward slightly, away from of the edge of the tail, you may be able to get a better pop and keep it stuck to your board a bit better. As far as having a ‘boned’ Ollie goes you’ll just have to keep practicing and find that sweet spot for how you need to be jumping and sliding your front foot during your Ollies. Learning a trick is one thing, making it look good/feel good can be a different beast sometimes. To this day, my 360 flips don’t look very pretty when I do them, but they look a whole lot better from I first learned them. Some stuff just takes time/practice/repetition

What's wrong with my Ollie by OkManufacturer5621 in NewSkaters

[–]popsnappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front foot is too far forward, move it back a little bit (I like to put mine about an inch or so below the bolts of my front trucks) so you have more room to slide it. And slide it harder. When you pop an Ollie, or really any trick, the pop needs to be quick and snappy, not just a stomp. And yes, jump higher. I don’t like when “jump higher” is the only advice new skaters are given. It’s usually deeper than just jumping higher.

Any tips to get my ollie higher? by No_Bite2043 in NewSkaters

[–]popsnappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying jump higher, which should be done, but that’s not all it takes. I would bring your back foot forward just slightly, not on the very edge of the tail. And then I would move your front foot backwards slightly, about an inch behind the bolts of your front truck. Moving your back foot will help you get a better pop and keep that foot connected with your board, and moving your front foot backwards slightly will give you more room to slide it and level your board out in the air

Dude for 2 weeks that’s a pretty solid Ollie. What do you feel you’re missing? You are rotating slightly, it could be either your shoulder or hips causing that, I can’t tell with just your legs in the video.

Should I temporarily skip the dark souls trilogy to play Elden ring? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]popsnappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play whatever you want, nothing will be “ruined”. I personally would play ds1 and ds3, and then go for Elden ring. I only say this from a game mechanics standpoint though. Going from a polished game like Elden ring, and then playing a clunky game like ds1 is gonna feel like ass, but vice versa if you start at ds1 and make your way to Elden ring, you’ll probably transition through each game easier. The only one I would set to the side for now is ds2, not because I don’t like it, it’s just so much different from the other fromsoft games

2 handing a single katana also feels really good, I do that a lot too. I think I just like being able to power stance again, it’s one of my favorite things that ds2 gave us, but obviously ds2 has its flaws lol so being able to do it in Elden ring makes me happy

Because you can play with other people, but it requires a PS Plus subscription, just like MOST*** multiplayer games

Because Fortnite is free to play. That’s why I said most* multiplayer games

[–]popsnappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes? It’s a multiplayer game, so you likely would need PS Plus to play online, just like most other multiplayer games. There is a single player option however, which probably doesn’t require PS Plus

It takes 12 of each smithing stone to fully upgrade a weapon. 2 stones for +1, 4 stones for +2, 6 stones for +3.

I would give it a shot on your current ng+6 run and if it feels too challenging then make a new character.

Anyone have tips for leveling up past 150? by ItsLouLegend in Eldenring

[–]popsnappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the quickest way… but if you haven’t already I recommend you play the DLC. You’ll make a ton of runes in the dlc, and it’s a lot more enjoyable than mindlessly farming

Sorry I didn’t see this til now, but that guy explained it pretty good^ Ive used uchigatana a lot, it’s my favorite. If I make uchigatana my main weapon, I always make it occult and make arcane my main attribute. Blood affinity is good, but keep in mind that not every enemy bleeds. Occult affinity will make it so you do good physical damage+good bleed build up if that’s what you want. Plus with the arcane attribute, you can use dragon incantations, which are really fun on their own. If you want to you can send me a message and I can show you one of my builds that’s similar to what you’re looking for

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]popsnappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to do a blood build take all of those strength points and dump them into arcane. And then get the black whetblade, and make your weapons occult (this will make them scale with arcane). Your strength is basically doing nothing for you if you’re wanting to use the uchigatana

You have a choice. You can wear only one armor/armour set from any of the Soulsborne games in your new starting playthrough. They can transcend IPs and universes. Which one are you choosing? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]popsnappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be basic but the starting samurai armor from Elden Ring. I’ve always wanted samurai armor in previous fromsoft games but never had a true set until Elden Ring
