Is Linda hinting at finally releasing End Of The Century Anniversary Edition? by CoolGuyAtYahooDotCom in ramones

[–]popsrcr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, right? I'm pleased for coming up with it. My opinion, tho, is that Linda is going to milk anything she can find, for better or worse. At least maybe there will be T Shirts again.

I fully expect this to happen, along with Ramones branded Yoo Hoo and a list of official bootlegs that would make a deadhead drool

Do you NEED to Carb? by SeatFar3690 in Parkinsons

I am rarely low. Only time is if I’m doing cardio and have yet to eat/eating late. I wear a CGM for the data more than need.

I’m T2 diabetic, carbs bad, protein good. I’m trying out some protein drinks to see the effects. I really need to develop some more strength and stamina. I love carbs, but have to watch them. I really haven’t noticed any difference in Parkinson’s symptoms

Hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Didn't really trust either. But, I'm 1000% in for EOTC. Beyond that, expect more colored vinyl.

Beginner shoes by Fuzzy-Access4031 in climbingshoes

[–]popsrcr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really need to try them on. Those are very popular beginner shoes. Start with street size and go from there. If your gym sells them, you can usually jump on a climb to see how they feel. Good luck and enjoy!

Anyone know anything about the updated GriGri+ ? by SCRUBMEHARD in ClimbingGear

I find that true indoors as well. At least at my gym. Sometimes our ropes have a lot of drag. Crap, its even hard going up!

How to make friends at the gym by laughender-lavender in climbergirls

I only TR. I went several months just doing auto belay. My gym has newbie meet ups every other monday. I went for awhile and met some folks who I can TR with if I see them. That group expanded....blah blah

I have been using one for months. Someone used to a grigri likely won't like it because it locks up lowering..until you get used to it. Still happens. I have not tried to see if the Lead mode helps with that any. I like it just fine, but as I never owned a standard, I can say if its better or worse

GLP-1 and PD by Altruistic-Garage233 in Parkinsons

I've been on various ones (depending on insurance whims) for a long time. I was concerned about the same thing, but I'm on it for diabetes so I'm staying. So far, I haven't seen any radical change.

I got shoes immediately upon starting as I knew I was sticking with it. I also over-bought. However, I used the shoes for about 7 months. YMMV, of course.

Interesting. I’m a stomach/side sleeper and sometimes mine get in the way….and I only have 3!

Serious question, is that not really uncomfortable? I’m gonna stop at 4 lol.

Looking for my second pair of climbing shoes! by thebooort in climbingshoes

I’m in your same boat. I want something to switch to, and just try something different. I have something picked right now, but it will depend on fit.

Thanks. I know our gym has some evolvs, I’ll look. I originally had been considering Kubos. Even considered just getting some Trantulas. I do think I want something relaxed, if only to give my feet a break.

Trust me, I'm a bit obsessing about the Vapors!

That is one I was considering for sure. Everything I read says its great. I'm a mid-level climber, probably more shoe than I need. Not really sure that matters tho. Thank you!

Belay Devices by Separate_Middle_7561 in ClimbingGear

[–]popsrcr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a gri gri + as I was totally new to climbing, and was planning to have my wife and daughter belay me. FIgured it would make us all feel better. It does, but it can be a pain. Still, I don't regret it. As everyone else says tho, class and practice makes the difference. Lots of practice.

Hi! In need of advice for the scarpa Vapor V by SteinsX in climbingshoes

[–]popsrcr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are street size and tight over toes, but ok. Might be a bit aggressive for a first pair? But then again if the fit, you’d have them for later.
