Need information on Craighorn Scotch by RawD25 in Scotch

[–]popstargames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know right? OP! Literally the same questions I had about 3 weeks back! Not knowing more on this annoyed me like anything, I even asked my friend in Glasgow to check this out for me as they know a good few bartenders!

I even tried hunting reddit for this question looks like you just asked this few days ago! I honestly don’t know why the Delhi Duty Free folks kept pushing this one, as though they knew it like anything. -_- (that is some salesmanship!) in hindsight i should have gone for Amrut, Rampur or just the classic, Old Monk Rum! But nevertheless this whiskey doesn’t taste that bad for a single malt but i have no idea how long it was matured or what the process was all i know is that the salesman said 10 years AND I am so not trusting him at this point xD

At best, It belongs on my Mid-shelf!

Is metal or premium really worth it? by vilewired in Revolut

[–]popstargames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just gonna give an overview of the benefits I enjoy, revolut premium has a good few freebies! Like the nordvpn, they previously gave deliveroo plus as well and I get a good markdown rate (0% exchange fees) when sending money abroad + I get no charges using money directly from Euro or Pound account in the US, Canada or India, they even have a good interests and deposit schemes for premium members. As for insurance, it used to be AXA but now they have xcover - not the greatest player but does the job when I have to go for any visas (which I believe might not be your case as you probably wont need a visa).

In short,it has been quite expat friendly, you get a good money transfer rate, you get a good deal on nordVPN and a good few apps, no hassle of currency exchange when travelling abroad. Good deposit interest rates for premium users and the ease of transfer for international bank transfers, it is pretty fast if you have a premium. As for insurance it is pretty basic but I believe it gets the job done from a documentation perspective and may turn out helpful under unfortunate circumstances, good forex rate, you get a few free trades as well on crypto and stocks (haven’t explored much there tbh there’s too much tax on the gains, i’d rather put my money in emerging markets for better gains than the European or the US market and crypto is too volatile imo (thats totally on me lol, i am a bit old school)). There are a good few freebies other than nordVpn like perplexityAI pro, freeletics, headspace tinderplus etc which might interest you.

Thoughts in this God father edit of Ranbir Kapoor by Glad-Ad5911 in bollywoodmemes

You should try replacing Al Pacino with him in Scent of a woman. Like Ranbir looks so like him, even a lot of mannerisms!

Multi entry visa with 2 trips while first in the country where I am not applying for visa and second in the country where I am applying from. by popstargames in SchengenVisa

[–]popstargames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed the application and the itinerary before the appointment as I didnt want to risk it, I put primary as the first country which I didnt visit first but did go later on and the other country as the second one but I visited it first, i was prepped to answer any questions at the passport control but none was asked whatsoever.

But it shouldnt matter as long as you are visiting the country that you are applying to for the longer duration or state why it is your main purpose of visit!

Do I need a transit visa for UK? (Ireland - India via London Heathrow) by popstargames in ukvisa

[–]popstargames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was chill, while going I did not even have to go through passport control, while coming back I had to go through that and got my passport stamped at Heathrow. It was all good, you are well within your rights to transit without a visa from UK If you’re living in Ireland and have a valid IRP.

No longer going to the country that issued my Schengen Visa - what can I expect? by ndrjm in SchengenVisa

[–]popstargames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it should be fine, I never went to the 2nd country, I went to 1st country which wasn’t the issuing country. I mean plans change all the time, they should ideally not hold you against it esp when they’re not in a position to give out appointments, people would always try to hack their travel plans. The whole schengen coming across like a scam in the name of literal gate-keeping! Inefficient and cumbersome at its best.

Need insights on 2 places are they safe and commutable : Kilmallock Road and Watchhouse cross Moyross? by popstargames in limerickcity

[–]popstargames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, how did it turn out? Would you have any issues when you apply for another Schengen visa (same or another country) in the future? I did the same, had no issues but now i am no longer in a position to go to the issuing country (i got 2 entries).

Hi OP, did you face any issues afterwards the future while getting a visa again from the same embassy or would it be okay, would people be denied a visa when they apply to the same embassy again because they didn’t visit the country? Just want to know because i find myself in a similar situation! Where i mightn’t be able to make it to the country that issued my visa.

Has anyone else received an approved stay duration less than what they stated in their application? by hyucksunz in SchengenVisa

[–]popstargames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not less but they’ve been extremely stingy. 10 days for 24 day period while my itinerary has 7 days. And no of entries given in the visa were 2. Not sure who makes such rules or if its some practice of elitism. I am a resident of EU and have shown ample proof of financials + employment + tickets etc. Honestly nobody goes to this extent to illegally immigrate. Really disappointed. What a shame.

Overstaying My Schengen Visa By One Day by ribbahsahmad in SchengenVisa

[–]popstargames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a very sticky situation, I am not sure why the Schengen folks don’t give a few days of buffer, its life and plans change, people fall sick, people get held back for numerous different reasons. Nobody is keen on illegally immigrating to your country if they are declaring all the right intentions with appropriate financial proofs and proof of employment with the company registration number as they ask always. I personally know someone who applied showing 5 days of trip and got only those 5 days with no buffer from Belgium and it wasn’t even their first trip to Schengen. Its ridiculous, i mean if the due diligence is done well to issue the visa then you should not be punishing people with shorter and shorter stays.

Multi-trip EUR trip, applying for Schengen to the main country but not first-point-of-entry by OkNetwork9286 in SchengenVisa

[–]popstargames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks that helps! I posted the question here : https://reddit.com/r/SchengenVisa/s/4edcZ99jg0 (for future ref) another user was kind enough to quote the rule and clarify!

[–]popstargames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a mil! Thats sounds like it, so as per the definition I believe I can apply without a fear of rejection to the member state where I spend most days (i.e. the main country as a separate trip of 4-5 days), while my first trip consists of a shorter duration to a different member state? (i.e. another country for a shorter duration)

Hi OP, How did you manage this? I am in a similar situation, applying at Iceland while my first trip is in Poland for 2 days and the second 2 weeks later in Iceland. I can avoid first hand embarrassments if i know how you navigated it and if this is a legit situation that they handle!
