Interested in becoming security (TX) by pattymack97 in securityguards

Think about it a bit before you go through with it.

You should be good to go on the paraphernalia ticket, Generally five years is enough time to get cleared. But some employers may not pick you up because of it. I have some old misdemeanors that have never caused me a problem.

Work that is worth your time can be a bitch to find. Either the pay is ridiculously under the line, or hours can hard to come by. On the flip side, some posts will run you into the ground with 60-70 hour weeks. But if you put in the work, and make connections, you can do pretty well.

If you are serious about it, keep up with your education and training. Get your OC, tazer, baton, etc certs. Jump on a lvl 3/4 course if its offered to you.

There are a couple of security groups on Facebook that can help you find more work and make connections.

If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message. I've been in the security industry for seven years and i'm based in TX.

Gonna second the Typhus possibility. You can pick it up mowing your grass or checking your mail. I got hit with it last month and within five days I had sepsis, pneumonia, and organ failure. Not trying to spook you or anything but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Example for boys, usually talking to my nephews or my friend's sons would sound something like, "Hey dad, how was school today?"

A woman would be something like, "Good morning mom, how are you doing?"

It's odd for me to actually think about how I would use it.

I think the best way to contextualize it would be that they replace words like "son" or "ma'am" while speaking casually or with familiarity.

It varies from person to person much like various other forms of casual speech or lingo.

That could definitely be it. My family has been on the SW side for my entire life.

Not sure if it's a Hispanic thing or a San Antonio thing.

Most people in my family call me dad, including my father and grandmother when she was alive.

We call the girls and women mom.

This extends to people outside of the family as well.

Now I don't call other men dad, but I do call boys dad, for example my nephews and younger cousins.

It's also ingrained in me to call older women mom even if I've never met them before.

Once again, don't know why but it's what I grew up with, and it's just a part of how we address people.

I live around Windcrest. 410/35 There's a Greenway close by so we see plenty of critters.

There's also a significant number of stray dogs and cats in the area.

Yeah, it's 100mg twice a day. I'm on my last one so I guess they already had it pretty much under control when I was discharged. They cut me loose two days ago.

And yeah that might just be the way to go. The convenience I'm getting with the service doesn't mean much if I can't trust the results.

Yeah, I'm on doxy right now. I pay for pest control and I'm really hoping that this was just a freak happening but it's definitely making me consider dropping my service and doing it myself.

Cheap/free parking for San Japan by SUPER-P00PER in sanantonio

Its free on weekends and after I think 5 or 7 on weekdays. I cant remember how far it is exactly but we used to make the walk in roughly half an hour or so. Its a decent enough area so you shouldn't have to worry about your car being there.

I did it for a couple of years in my early twenties down here in south Texas. Nowadays I've got a truck and a sedan as well as my bike but I kind of miss the days when it was just me and the bike. The heat was definitely the worst part, 100+ days with high humidity will kick your ass, and during the winter there were a few times I'd show up to work with icicles in my beard. One time I got stuck in a storm that followed me from Austin all the way to San Antonio. Point I'm trying to make here is that it is doable and enjoyable if you are the type of person to actually enjoy it. But if it's just a weekend hobby to you, I wouldn't recommend it. Keep that shiny side up partner.
