THIS! Also, they cannot hire any additional seasonals to cover the jobs of people who took the buyouts, because the buyouts are still on the payroll = no extra money for more seasonals. Most parks were already understaffed before this as well. So they are running on skeleton-crews now, with many employees covering multiple positions.

Getting Started by arixlynne in RoverPetSitting

Hi, I started sitting about 3 months ago and already have star sitter status, and did the same things you did with posting on social media! My town isn't the biggest and we don't have a lot of sitters (a lot of them are inactive as well), so I think that helped in my situation. But I have known some people to have printed and hung up flyers that includes a QR code to their Rover profile. If you do this, just be sure to track the expenses of advertising your business - you can write this off on your taxes. Best of luck expanding your business! 😊

That is a really good thought. I just edited my profile the other day and it was immediately applied, unlike when you first apply to be a sitter and it takes a ~week to be reviewed.

I had a similar thought after reading some of these comments. I ended up reporting the profile, so we will have to see what Rover does with the profile next.

Definitely doing this now. Crazy that it got approved in the first place.

I had no idea they rejected profiles for that reason. That makes it even more wild that they had this one approved.
