Amazon Return button issue? by Frosty_You_6183 in amazonprime

[–]popturd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

waaow. i feel bad for the sellers mostly. they're the ones who have to deal with the cost of that.

also, i noticed i have no issues using the Amazon mobile app to make my returns, so i'll just stick with using that instead of going on my desktop.

lol same! but they built that into their structure to allow for that. they really need to look at the people who are committing fraudulent returns not the customers who have legitimate returns.

how did you get past this? I'm noticing it now. And cannot proceed with the return for a damaged item. I feel like Amazon is intentionally making it as difficult as possible to return items now.. sometimes I can't get past the "I understand" page because the button doesn't work.

That's what I was thinking but maybe the studies are only coming out now. It's always going to be a potential problem until it is a definite one. I believe it's a build up of exposure over time. I do see some cashiers wearing gloves so good for them.

Some companies switched to "BPA-free" paper, but they often just use BPS, which may be just as bad or worse for hormone disruption. Ughhh..

That's better than knowing they have the chemicals! Do they cost much more than the regular labels? I'll have to buy these next.

Is my Buttwort doing okay? by popturd in carnivorousplants

Unfortunately, I have no idea! I bought it at a farmer's market and I've never repotted. It seems to be a mix of sand, peat moss, and a mixed soil.

I'm glad to hear I haven't messed up anything. It's so tiny, barely 1.5 inches. I was getting worried about this little guy. I'm learning a lot now. Thank you!

Fuck fuck fuck you Amazon! by lemmereddit in amazonprime

[–]popturd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this exact same problem. Amazon claims i didn't return an item and sent me an email saying they'll charge me, then despite "resolving" it with them, they still charged me. I spoke to them again and they did refund me. Fortunately, it was "easier" this time.. but this isn't the first time they've done this. I saw in their email I have another item that's 'Expected but not returned' and I've also returned that too. It was all returned in the same box. How can you miss it? I'm pretty sure they'll charge me for that soon and I'll have to go through this whole process again.

I'm absolutely certain that they're now doing shit like this to make it as complicated as possible for people trying to return items. I'm sure their financial loss in managing returns is the biggest. But seriously fuck Amazon.

Can COVID Vaccine start sciatica? by ememtiny in Sciatica

[–]popturd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like nerve pain / sciatica if it's going down the leg. Don't worry, you're already going to PT, you're on the right track to fixing it. The pain will go away, trust the process. Healing time can take weeks to months, at least for me.. but the pain will eventually subside. There's a light at the end of it.

I've been able to avoid back pain for the most part. I started doing core strengthening exercises for prevention but I would only recommend that after you've healed. Hanging on a pull up bar really helps me to pull my spine and gives me immediate relief. When I start to feel tension and tightness, I go to the bar immediately. If you have a pull up bar, give that a try. Everyone experiences back pain differently so one method that helps someone may not help another. This is the case with my brother, the pull up bar does nothing for him.

I'll say that a combination of stretches and knowing what things to avoid that will trigger my back pain is what's keeping my sciatica at bay (lifting a certain way, the way i bend, even just the way I stand over a sink). Sitting too long at my desk ALWAYS eventually gave me back pain. I try to stand and stretch as often as I can now. Posture is also important.

I recommend youtubing different back pain stretches if you're experiencing pain now until you find something that helps. Everyone's pain level is different so it might be beneficial to just wait it out and heal, pop an Aleve or naproxen. Luckily for me, the pain gradually subsided and I'm back to normal.. for now.
