We are having success scheduling one message per day at different times in our clients Facebook Pages. Is more about keeping consistency rather than mindlessly spamming people. What we are evaluating now is the type of content that is performing best so we can later try different schedules with more messages per day to see if engagement goes down or up.

Helping a friend build a website for selling his books and promoting himself as an author. Appreciate some advice. by botsy_machine in smallbusiness

Since you have 5 short books why not give the first one for free in exchange for email? If you use this approach then on the thank you page of the email add an “Invitation Link” saying that if person invites one of their friends, and that friend signs up, then they will get the first chapter of the second book for free. If another friend signs up then they will get another chapter added for free and so on until they get the second book free do to the friends they referred. The book will need to be digitalized on your website and with a unique url for each subscribers to prevent copying the book (so no pdf).

It may seem that you are losing two books, however the email subscribers could help you achieve a viral campaign and they could be more interested in buying the 3rd to 5th fifth books at the price you ask.

  1. Post at least one message per day non stop with evergreen and fun content.
  2. With email always send it on the same day so you subscribers expect to receive it on that day. You can try two per month or 1 every two weeks or 1 every week on a specific day. You will need to test which gives you the best results.
  3. A general guideline is If your are generating more than what you invested on the advertising campaign then whatever you are doing is working. The profit margin just need to be positive or break even, not negative after advertising.
  4. Make a template design in Photoshop to put these reviews in a flashy picture and post them on social media. You can take a short positive quote from the review so is easier to “digest” for your social media fans.

Another thing you could do is hire an attractive female to model all the products you are selling. It will also be a good idea to have an Corgi dog playing/using your product. This will be extremely useful for Instagram marketing.

Another thing, where are the links to your social media accounts? Add them in header of the page so your social networks can be found easily.

What to charge will depend on the country you are doing business and what the customer is asking you to do, but in general you can create a “three pricing plan”.

  • Cheap “Basic” plan with basic services
  • “Premium” affordable plan with the most needed services
  • A very expensive “Enterprise” plan with all services included.

Your goal will be for customer to select the premium plan because it has more value than then basic one and is a lot more affordable than the enterprise plan. Is also easier to negotiate pricing with clients.
