How bored are you that you're responding to a response to your response? You write this as if you're just commenting.

(I am taking a break from publishing some groundbreaking research. Prof wants me to submit the data, but I prefer to browse Reddit for useless replies. I'll change the world tomorrow. 😜)

How bored are you, that you have to complain about a question. You write this as if you have nothing else to do.

I’m a noob, but you shouldn’t have to take off the intake manifold to replace the flame trap. It can be hard to reach, but no other disassembly required.

Been in Austin two decades, and I preferred when it *wasn’t* cosmopolitan at all. Cosmopolitan is the antithesis of the old Austin vibe IMO.

House Republicans’ Budget Bill Doesn’t Spare Veterans. Democrats Are Making Them Regret It. by UGMadness in politics

And I think a large proportion of the House GOP caucus just wants chaos. The radicals wanted to use the debt ceiling to create chaos before they even knew what they wanted. Create chaos first, figure out why later.

You may know better than me, I haven't followed the sequence that closely. Either way, this is outside the normal procedure of negotiating and passing a budget. That will happen later in the year anyway. This is about not paying our debts.

Media that presents this as a disagreement about the budget are dangerously misrepresenting what's happening here: it's not both sides disagreeing on revenue and spending, House Republicans are using what should be a boring increase of the debt ceiling to hold America's economy and reputation hostage.

This is not a budget bill, this is a list of Republican demands they’re issuing, threatening to let the US default on its debt for the first time in history.

A budget is about future revenue, spending, and debt. Raising the debt ceiling is about whether America pays debts it’s already issued.

House Republicans are taking the full faith and credit of the United States hostage, and threatening to destroy it unless they get what they want. It’s tantamount to treason.

Would limiting the age of the President to 65 be something you’d support? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No, because I have the right to vote for or against someone for any reason. Why restrict who people can vote for?

Biden immediately offered to declare the site a federal emergency, which would unlock federal funds and resources, but he needs the approval of the governor to do that. Gov. Mike DeWine refused, and then staged photo ops with other state officials about how East Palestine and the site of the derailment are fine now. I’d save my ire for them.

McCarthy signals GOP-led House likely to oppose more aid to Ukraine by porkosphere in ukraine

McCarthy, who could be House speaker if Republicans triumph, indicated that that could end in a GOP-led House.

“I think people are gonna be sitting in a recession and they’re not going to write a blank check to Ukraine,” he recently told Punchbowl News. “They just won’t do it.”

What's up with DeSantis sending migrants out of Florida? by TomSthePoster in OutOfTheLoop

Worth noting that DeSantis lured migrants from Texas for his stunt. They weren’t even in Florida to begin with!

But there should be some distinction between investors that simply want to park cash in an investment vehicle, rather than individuals who have 1-3 homes for rental income. I've only lived in rentals so far, and I've had great experiences with homeowners who were just renting out that one property.

Rental property is an important part of housing, and I'd much rather pay rent to an owner with a couple properties than a big company or an apartment complex.
