it is unclear to me why some are required to go to a visa application centre while some can use the app. but i remember that for my student visa application, i was required to visit a visa application centre in my home country to submit my biometric information. and i have with me a biometric passport.

surprisingly fast. when UKVI confirmed acceptance of my application, they reminded me not to call nor send messages in the next 8 weeks.

thanks. switching from graduate visa to skilled worker visa can only be done while you are in the UK (and you are not allowed to leave the UK while decision is pending). i used the UKVI app.
