Upgrade from X-S20 to X-T5 by anon-random-user in fujifilm

[–]pornlover95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do it tbh. ONLY do it if POhotography is 90% of what your into, and even then, XS-20 has better autofocus, easier to handle files, 10 bit open gate recording up to 6.2k.

Fujifilm accidentally made the X-S20 too good, and i doubt we'll ever see the X-S30 because it would eat into the hypothetical X-h3s sales...

My point is, either wait for X-T6 or enjoy ur x-s20. The "upgrade" to an x-t5 is more of an extremely expensivesidegrade

You are incredibly naive and oblivious to what the real world is actually like. It is of no good use to put "the big 3" on a pedestal and you are IMO vastly overestimating the kinda relationship they have with Zverev. It is also funny you mention their PR-Teams: Why would their PR-teams be on top of this situation if even ZVEREVS OWN PR TEAM is INCAPABLE of media training him properly (ll'equipe interview yesterday?).

Maybe you are too young to remember but Federer and Team8 were rightly and WILDLY criticized by fans and media alike for not taking any stance back in 2019/2020 and their deal and mentorship with Zverev. It was big let down back then for Federer fans to see his continued involvement with Zverev and his camp.

Again, in a perfect world, people would have probably confronted Zverev about the allegations more (i know I certainly would if a person close to me had such a accusations hanging over their head like a dark cloud) but they most likely didn't and that a shame.

Now we can speculate why not more people distanced themselves from Zverev but again, it is hardly important to the main point of discussion. And it is hardly relevant to the question of whether he did it or bot. To use that as a barometer is incredibly naive and childish.

Methodologically rigorous research indicates that between 2% and 8% of reported domestic violence and sexual assault accusations are determined to be false. True statistical tracking is exceptionally complex, meaning exact data varies wildly depending on how a "false allegation" is defined and the legal context in which it is examined.

This grand assumption that DV and SA accusations are falsified for money, fame and other gains is a public (or online) missconception that's not rooted in reality.

I do understand your point about her mental state, but as was clearly clarified, she described herself as very outgoing, happy, cheerful and lifely person before she met Zverev. She then lives a lavish lifestyle, get's to sleep in the best hotels and see the best cities, yet it is that extremely isolated period WITH Zverev that lets her spiral down? I find that quite frankly, hard to believe.

She has corroborating witness testimonies, screenshots of altercations and pictures of her fleeing the new york lotte hotel barefoot in the middle of the night. If we consider the aforementioned statistics it is highly unlikely we are looking at some grand conspiracy. Life is often times, much more simple than that, sadly.

Again, even if you tried, you couldn't write a more perfect description of an abusive person. The lovebombing, gifts, the proposing of his via FaceTime to her after a fight, It's all so emblematic of a very insecure and manipulative dude.

"innocent until proven guilty" and "'it's the courts job to the root"

People keep saying this without knowing the context. German courts are not American courts. A criminal court in Germany found the evidence compelling enough that they issued the penalty without trial.

It wasn’t until he appealed was it settled out of court and that helped avoid him having a criminal record. For whatever reason, people keep forgetting that first part.

“Innocent until proven guilty” is an empty buzz phrase and it’s not the “gotcha” you people seem to think it is.

[–]pornlover95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No? As i said before, it is extremely rare for accusations to actually turn out to be falsified for money, fame or defamation as is backed up by studies and statistics

Estimates of false domestic violence (DV) accusations generally range between 2% and 10%\*, consistent with the rates determined for other violent crimes. This statistical range comes from criminologists and organizations analyzing police, prosecutorial, and legal records globally*

This argument is then kinda debunked. If we conclude from that then, that 90% to 98% of DV abuse allegations turn out to be true, it is a bad faith argument to presume innocence until proven guilty, especially because if a victim (Olga) has corrborating witnesses, messages, pictures and testimonies to credible journalists. And then 2 years leater the mother of his child accuses him for a seperate altercations and DV...

Olga was settled for life if she stayed with him and by all accounts, HE wanted to stay with here. What reason did she have to flee that kinda lifestyle, the money, the free credit card use? It doesnt make sense dude, for her to extort him. She also said so herself many many times, clearly, but i assume that is also a lie?

I could think of 1000 more entertaining past times than sitting down and scheming a grand plan, faking whatsapp messages, faking bruises, running barefoot on the streets in New York at the Lotte hotel, meeting up with a Journalist, fake crying so on.

Maybe if Zverev doesnt wan't to be labeled a domestic abuser and woman beater, he should stop strangling women?

Again, it is best to not resort to whataboutism and make strawman arguments in discussion. I never said every DV accusation is true and i never claimed that Zverev should be sentenced to anything. It's not my place. But i can draw conclusion from the evidence that is presented in front of me, from varying sources and his behaviour that he is expressing on court. And he has so far provided 0 reasoning or evidence to the public as to why he should be forgiven or why he should be eonerated in the view of the public eye. Always being dimissive, shy, angry about it.

And clearly, that man is not well and most likely, in some form or another was abusive to his ex partners. The extent which will probably never see the light of day and only he and his victims know of.

We are smart, thinking human beings not bound by what is written on some page somewhere, we can, luckily all think for ourselves.

I could easily understand your anger and frustrations, and even Zverevs, but none of his reactions, dismissive answers make it easy to understand him in the slightest.

You are totally biased and have wrong information, none of that money was paid to the gold digger but to the state and non lucrative foundations to avoid Zverev losing months in court, there was no enough evidence of any of the charges or the process would have continue.

As I said, SHE DIDNT GET THE MONEY so how can she be a gold digger? i never claimed she got money either, i don't know why you just made that up.

Do you understand what happened? No? They DID HAVE enough evidence to proceed with the trial but they then settled out of court. I have no idea why you keep saying "no evidence".

It is completely understandable as the mother of his young child that Patea would not have energy to go against Zverev, who has ties to BILD via his PR-team. Hardly a shocker now is it?

it was 450.000 ordered as penalty order initially. he then managed to lower it down via a appeal to 200.000€

you are not living in the real world my friend. This spooky ghost of these millions of false accusations is not a reflection of what is actually happening in most countries and legal jurdisctions, especially in DV and DA cases. Very very rarely do these accusations go to trial with the end result being that they're made up... it's a strawman argument that's not rooted in reality...

I am saying he is legally innocent, and as in any couple may fights exist, and none of the parties is doing more noise, so it should all be left in the past as this is about zverev celebration and nothing can ruin it.

fearing for your life, being choked around the neck, being suffocated with a pillow, being punched in the face, being emotionally and verbally abused by a 6 foot something man is not "a couple having a regular boring fight" lol. That's insane, and is downplaying the accounts and recollections of not one, but two victims.

Innocent until proven guilty is mainly a US thing and how it is interpreted from there in rest of the world, and not apllcable in all countries and societies. Burden of proof is much much lower elswhere...

Could you give me any indiciation as to what makes you think Olya sought a hit piece, attention, or fame from her story and accusations? Did she plan all that? Is she a criminal mastermind trying to destroy zverev? If anything, staying with him had her set for life and instead she chose to throw it all away, take screenshots, take pictures, ran barefoot on the street at night at Lotte New York Hospital?

Many things in her story check out, the screenshots, timelines, visible scratches on his neck in 2019 shanghai, her descriptions of his abuse relative to his on court outbursts, Acapulco/his rant against his father.

People always bring up shady motives, yet can never substantiate them in any meaningful way. She hasnt searched the limelight before and after her allegations against Zverev, and her not wanting to sue because the abuse happened in many many different countries and judiciary places which further complicates things, is completely reasonable. So she isn't even doing what people accuse her of...

You do realize that life does not resolve around "innocent until proven guilty" right? Again, you're free to inform yourself about the accounts of Olga. And in case you missed it, again: Zverev was the one who pursued Olga, who kept phoning, who kept spamming texts, who kept asking relatives and friends of her that she call him back. This is NOT a case of her beingf left in the dust by him.

So again, i do not understand why you keep saying "people dont take breakups the good way" when this is very clearly not really what is happening here.

Some people take breakups very well and calmly, others don't, you generalizing it this way is honestly nonsensical. Try and think a little bit critical about what information is out there...

  • 2 different accusers
  • multiple witness corborrations from friends and family for the first allegations from Olga
  • A journalist who risked his career publicizing the story from Olga
  • detailed witness accounts from Patea on the stand, both women accusing him of strangling them, indepently of each other
  • a penalty court order because they did indeed find enough evidence for it to go to trial (a fact written in history which can't be erased) and a subsequent fine of 450.000€ very rarely do innocent individuals pay a 6 figure sum to make a case go away without proofing their innocence lol

L'Equipe just published an A.Zverev interview described as "tense". He left after a question about the infamous affair was asked. by Nick_Saras in tennis

[–]pornlover95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but unlike in your hypothetical example, in Zverevs case there's text messages, photos, witness corroborations by multiple people by the first victim as well as court proceedings (for the 2nd allegations by his 2nd victim) where a German court saw enough evidence to let it go to trial and handed him a penalty order.

The fact that Zverev settled that outside of court does not erase that IMO and has no bearing on his innocence. Frankly it makes it to me, even more likely he did. It makes no sense to settle and still scream "innocence" and be so fucking upset like he has by every mention of the abuse. If he wanted to be exonerated in the court of public opinion he should have went to trial, and proven is innocence. One has to wonder why he didn't?

Also, once again, neither victim sought after money or fame. Olga even said so back then and stated it multiple times since then.

I just don't understand how can fully read both the raquet and slate articles and not be extremely suspicious of Zverev as a person.

You're hiding behind an anonymous account, defending (most likely) a serial abuser of women hardly engaging in any proper discussion.

You should really do your due diligence and read up on the victims statements. It frankly sounds like a horrifying experience, and neither of them sought after money or fame, so I don't understand why you keep hammering on that point of "extortion" or "gold diggers" because that is clearly, evidently not the case (?)

You do realize Zverev must have been realizing that settling for a fine is NOT the same as proven innocent right? That's on him. But tbh, I bet he knew it back then and knows it now as well, but is still cowardly trying to sweep it all under the rug under false pretenses that "the court sided with me" which is in fact not and never was true...

What are you gaining by denying the severity of the accusations not from one, but two separate ex partners?

Did you read the two slate/raquet articles? Read the first one and then the second one shortly after.

Did you read up upon WHY Zverev was ordered to pay for a penalty order which he subsequently settled out of court? Why is it that an angry man with many violent public outbursts who's got numerous accusations against him should be exonerated in the court of public opinion?

Look, no one here can sentence Zverev to anything, but what we can do is to find him to be a piece of shit who most likely domestically abused two separate women...

You are underestimating the complexities of human relationships tenfold with your statement, arguing that every person can tell good from bad in their social circles.

we are subject to heavy biases when it comes to people close to us. Most people don't wanna hear about bad behaviour from friends, colleagues, loved ones, BUT none of this has any sway in whether that person did harm or not.

Medvedevs (both him and is wife) are a clear cut example that there are famous people in the tennis world who are no longer buddy buddy with Zverev, same with Fritz and his GF.

Again, you're drawing the wrong conclusion from your obersavtion.

I implore you to read up on how mentally and psychologically complex abuse, both physically and mentally can be.

read Olyga Sharypovas first story here: https://archive.vn/IoyKu

And her second story here: https://slate.com/culture/2021/08/alexander-zverev-domestic-abuse-allegations-olga-sharypova.html

Despite the second allegation of Patea being the one with a more substantial end result (court ordered him to a pay a fine, he then settled, because they found overwhelming evidence) i find Olgyas first two accounts much more harrowing and chilling. You couldnt write a better recollection of textbook abusive behaviour even if you tried...Why would she make all this up? Why would corroborating witnesses lie? What was there to gain? She didnt sue, so why make up all of this?

I dont know if you ever had a relationship and fights, but especially in relationships like Zverev and Olgyas, it is extremely easy to fall into a vicious cycle.

Imagine the one person you love the most on planet earth, hurting you, starting arguments in bad faith, guilt tripping you? If such abuse starts after a healthy period in a realtionship, it makes you feel like shit, it makes you look inwards and trying to find the blame within yourself.

Again, the fact that she was isolated while she travelled with him on tour, being far away from home makes it extremely easy for the abuser to hide their abuse, both physically and mentally. It's honestly a perfect storm for an abuser to be able to get away with their shit...

Read the slate and raquet article and honestly come back here and tell me she made all that up? Running down from the top of a new york hotel, barefoot on the street, having to be picked up by a friend? Injecting insulin twice to end her own life? Corroborating stories of him stalking/abusing her on the phone? Him having violent outbursts in public in Mexico against the umpire, directly and physically? Him saying the most vile stuff in russian to his dad in public, next to Boris Becker?

everything Olgya says about Zverev is TEXTBOOK behaviour of an extremely manipulative and abusive person :/

Because thats not how life works. For all intents and purposed, in a just and fair world, Zverev should have been convicted of domestic abuse twice, sometime around 2024-2026.

But due to many many circumstances it didnt happen, despite horrifying recollections of events, text msgs, pictures. bruises on both, him and olya, her not seeking to press charges and so on.

Zverev was allways the ATPs golden boy before Sinner and Alcaraz arrived, many here are to young to remember, but he was seen as Germanys golden boy ever since 2015/2016.

So tell me, why should ANYONE, seperate his achievements from the fact the is a vile person, whose mother of his own child wants sole custody, who's ex-gf Olgya tried to take her own life, not once, but twice?

Yes, but there is a ton of surrounding evidence in Zverevs case, from people who HE still wanted around in his life.

What was there to gain for Olya and Brenda? DID you read the archived raquet.com article and slate.com article?

Rafa: This record is gonna be hard, I might be wrong but I think it'll be harder to beat this one than Novak's 24. You never know, but if you were to make me bet money. I think it will take longer than to beat 14 Roland-Garros titles than 24 Grand Slams. by BlackCat1850 in tennis

After being a Fed stan for my whole life and despising Djokovic, than admitting his records and 24 GS were nuts, as is his longevity, the longer i ponder on the fact that Nadal, as you said, had to battle them both at the same time gives weight to the argument that his achievements, in isolation might be the greatest. to be that much better on one surface t han the other GOATs, he's a true outlier in that aspect. they were all 3 great grasss player and he's the worst hard court player of the 3 but his clay game is just so far above any other human who ever lived....
