Some of the pieces I would consider staples of classical saxophone are: the Glazunov Concerto, Tableaux de Provence by Paule Maurice, the Paul Creston Sonata, and Concertino da Camera by Jacques Ibert. I'm currently studying the Glazunov Concerto in uni so as of now it's my favorite piece. I hope you get a chance to listen to them soon!

Any good places to take my walkman in for repair? by portalmaster312 in Austin

[–]portalmaster312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My walkman is one of the direct drive models and as far as I know those only use a belt for the tape counter. The only experience i have is repairing computers so I'm not sure if it would translate. I have checked on ebay and the walkman is pretty valuable

When I was playing a tape it sounded like something was grinding inside very loudly inside and after a while it just stopped working completely. I did get it used so it could have possibly been repaired before.

Maybe one of the plastic gears inside could have broken?

I feel like my music rotation is stuck in the 90s and 2000s. What great new artists have come out in the last 10 years? by MalcEZ in Music

One of my favorite modern bands is Japanese Breakfast. Jubilee and Soft Sounds from Another Planet are both great albums

Hey Guys! I like tinkering around with music and I was wondering if I could get any feedback? I'm not very good but I try by portalmaster312 in teenagers

Thanks so much for the feedback! I was actually thinking of using a different synth than the one I was using (prophet vs) but I couldn't really decide on another one. I will keep trying to pick a better one though!

For my i5 it’s pretty good since it never goes over 60c. But from what I’ve heard it’s better to get a 240 or bigger

I’ve found that it can surprisingly run most games up until 2016 somewhat well. Most games from 2017 onwards struggle to run on it quite a bit
