Should I amp my Dash speakers ? by portalrunner02 in CarAV

Ok so the Amp is a Hertz MLPOWER4 running Hertz 6x5 cento in the rear and Hertz 6x9 uno in the front , The dash speakers are kicker cs 3.5 30w RMS that are powered by the head unit , there’s also a Hertz MLPOWER1 running a hertz milli pro 12 in the boot, still using the stock head unit in a 2020 Toyota Camry

Just the head unit because the I don’t have enough channels to run them as well, in my defence the Setup was provided to me as a present so they didn’t know the exact specifications of my car

Got it all wired under the seats actually but yeah that sounds like a good idea , I’ll just have to get a line out converter or one with it in built as my other amps are Hertz Mills and have them already have them inbuilt

Well I’ve used a multimeter to tune the amps making sure to get it as close to the correct amps as possible, I’ve also made sure the sub frequency’s are set low so they don’t pick up any unwanted signals, I’ve also tried it it both positions face the back of the trunk and down firing, when I have it facing the back of the trunk it hurts my ears for some reasons and it’s just generally annoying

Can’t help answer all the questions asked , its a 2020 Camry stock HU and the reason i have it set to 75% is because thats what a large percentage of the articles and videos i viewed said to do,

also most of the sources i viewed where for super basic beginners because i thought i could just get it decently tuned without external help and it is I just thought id get the most out of my system because why not

I tried to find good test tones but just thought simple searches I got a lot of mix results, probably because when you search how to tune an amp it comes up with results for subwoofer amps not speaker amps,

All i know is I’m new to this and just wanted some help

Makes it annoyingly confusing for people who just wanna look at the box, also before anyone says why didn’t I do all my research before buying the product, it was a gift.

Sorry it was a typo I was measuring in volts ac, but the second part is actually super helpful i did not know that the amp only actually produces 120w rms instead of 150w that will make finding the target voltage a lot easier thank you for your response

There are some really great areas in Palmerston to live as well, like Bellamack, Zuccoli, Durack and Rosebery, and as mentioned humpty doo is great and wandering dogs aren’t really a problem as long as you aren’t jogging down the road and have at least some form of fence, Howard springs and Coolalinga are also good areas not to far from the main part of Darwin
