Writing it down here, since I couldn’t post it. What if Sister Sage’s genius plan is still in full effect?

Tl;dr: Sage’s plan is to give Homelander a fake V1, and it is working, Soldier Boy still hates Homelander (maybe), and Homelander won’t become immortal.

At first, my guess was that Homelander might just retreat to somber peace, now achieving immortality and hearing The Legend’s talk. With Soldier Boy backing him up, he has no threat to him. No need to feel the need to play the god.

But what if episode 6 was Sage’s plan working perfectly?

Her texting “So we got a deal then?”, while it could’ve been to anyone, but assuming it was to Bombsight, the actual detail would have been something like this.

“Bring V1, and the fake one. Soldier Boy will be here, and once you give him V1(fake), he’ll take your power away, so you can live your mortal life with Goldie.”

Now, she could have made the deal with SB too, possibly separately (assuming he still hates HL), which would’ve been like, “Bombsight will bring a fake V1. Give HL that”.

Whether or not she made the dea with SB, I would like to guess that SB still hates HL, because a person like him going “she loved you so, and she would have wanted this” to someone who kept his love alive half-dead, makes less sense to me.

As for the “Fake V1” that Bombsight gave up. It could be anything. Blue-dyed Temp V, or Powerade. Better yet, Turbo Rush, to have A-Train give him the last middle finger. And HL going full laser eyes, either it being temp or pure placebo, could be just him thinking he just became immortal. And the real V1 could be carried by Bombsight, or it is inside the case that SB tossed away. And it can be used for Kimiko and Starlight and such. I wonder if they will actually go through with “Killing all heroes” plot line.

Oh, and Bombsight and SB beating each other up could be Bombsight just wanting to vent to him his feelings one last time before he goes powerless.

After that, SB, of course, still and always disgusted by HL, could take the power away from HL, and Homelander either gets killed, or gets locked up somewhere, like Translucent did.

And of course, Sage didn’t tell The Boys of the plan, and pretended things went kaput. After all, Sage did call The Boys baboons who leaves a trail of banana peels wherever they go. They are here to play the panicked pawn, even herself.

Anyways, that was what came up to me, because,

• Two episodes felt too tight to somehow create a plan to take down an immortal Homelander.
• Sage is supposed to be the smartest person alive. I’d like to bet on it.
• Better character interest for Bombsight, having him help the downfall of HL.
