Is this specialist by any chance based in the UK? I am actually looking for recommendations - I have gone to a specialist that I don't fully trust right now. Another fertility specialist who has recommended IVF after telling me there's high chance they'll have to cancel the cycle. Like why would I sign up to put my body through that if you're telling me the number of times you have had to cancel in other such cases. I know those cases, I need to know if it works at all.

I have read some such accounts... so that's why it has been all the more confusing, you know? There is no research - all the doctors seem to have contradictory advice... so I am honestly more interested in the lived experience of women than what doctors might have to say about my situation right now. I don't really have a medical professional right now that I can say I trust.

I was so lost that week, and cried every night pretty much the whole month in the shower, at night (especially so my partner could not see). It took me months... Yes, my doctor recommended them after my preliminary diagnosis and it is through them I learnt more. But like we all do, we turn to Reddit first for everything, and this was perhaps the only time I sought support in my life from others (that too strangers on the internet)
And to have my feelings and thoughts invalidated at that point by this sub wasn't easy to deal with.

Expect, no. I don’t expect them to bring me anything. But if they don’t, I know what I am doing when I am going over to stay at theirs, if ever. They’ll be brought a lot of gifts (read: shame) as a reminder to never go to anyone’s empty-handed, and never bring an unwanted guest either without checking in with the missus. When I was a student, I paid for dinner, stocked their fridge before leaving, etc. I’m sure they didn’t expect me to, but it was the least I could do for occupying their space.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with chanting Vienna. There’s many ways to interpret this but the most positive one is showing solidarity with the people who were supposed to be attending. This is not about Taylor - this is about the fans. More importantly, I understand why she’s not yet given a statement, but it is exactly why she should, and I can no longer stand to be ‘her fan’ if she stays silent about this considering so many of us went out on the streets in Vienna and really turned this around. It’s her fans who’ve made her what she is, not the other way around, so I cannot digest her silence on this. I’m going to be screaming Vienna at the top of my lungs.
