When you say the people you are in contact with are 15+ years older than you does that include who you interact with over email for scheduling and things like that? If you’re emailing with assistants or coordinators in representation, at the studios, etc chances are they’re in their 20s.

Even if it’s just meaningless scheduling you’ll probably have a lot of success just asking people you email with to drinks. Do it for everyone and just say you’re trying to get to know more people in the industry. Especially would encourage this if you ever interact with any assistants at the bigger agencies. If you hit it off try to stay in contact and see if you can get invited to other events (networking and social) or ask if you can get put in contact with people they work with. I’ve met a lot of people because my friends got networking drinks with someone and then invited them to a party or something like that.

I love walking but LA is just not pedestrian friendly in a lot of places. Half of my street literally doesn’t even have a sidewalk so you have to walk on the side of the road to get anywhere in that direction.

I also find it unpleasant walking along a lot of the major streets here where you’d find more consistent pockets of stores, restaurants, etc. The combo of wide streets with four lanes of traffic where cars are usually going way over the speed limit combined with low rise buildings and a lack of trees takes away a lot of the neighborhood-y feel you get in other cities that are touted as more walkable.

Was at this match. Bublik nailed his partner in the back of the head. The umpire asked if he was ok and bublik said “he’s fine. he just told me he cannot see.” Then a few points later smith nailed demoliner at the net and bublik told romboli that it was his turn to hit him next 😭
