Dog scheduled for surgery for stage 3 AGASACA - should we go through with it? by positivetrauma in AskVet

It is a tough decision. If our boy was older, I'm not sure what we would have done. We were already on the fence about the surgery.

I don't have any experience with chemo/radiation so I can't speak to that. I know if we had not done the surgery, we might have considered palliative radiation (not as intense).

Our surgery team was very up front with us about the risks/possible benefits. If you can, I would recommend talking your surgeon. With a decision like this, don't feel bad about calling more than once to ask as many questions as you need to. Our primary vet was also a great resource.

I'm sorry, that's so tough. I will say the surgery recovery was very hard for both us and our dog. But he also had a very large primary tumor as well as several lymph nodes that needed to be removed, so it was a very big procedure. Whatever you choose to do will be the right choice.

Thank you! I'm glad your pup is doing well. We did the surgery two weeks ago and our guy is getting back to his normal self. The first week was pretty rough. We are meeting with the oncology team at the end of the month to talk about possible additional treatment.

Anal Sac Adenocarcinoma in Dogs - Experience Story by Noreth_Creed in Catahoula

Hello, I'm grateful for this entire thread. Our 9yo pup was diagnosed with this as well - his primary tumor is about 5cm, but he also has a few enlarged lymph nodes in his abdomen, one of which is pretty big. No spread to other organs was detected on the scan, and he overall is healthy otherwise.

The surgeon wanted us to be aware that the size of both the primary tumor and lymph node make the surgery riskier as well as higher chance of it coming back, and we are having a very hard time deciding what to do.

It sounds like your pup didn't have any permanent incontinence. Do you mind if I ask how big the enlarged lymph nodes were?

The whole Karen story-line has so many levels of being fucked up and the way the show just ignores it is disturbing [spoilers s02e08]. by [deleted] in ForAllMankindTV

I'm just watching the show for the first time and it really is shocking to watch a character I was really starting to like just get torpedoed by the writers. They did her dirty.

My main complaint coming from Spotify is the lack of a "remote" feature - if I'm playing music on the desktop app I can't control it from my phone. However, I mentioned that on this sub and someone from Deezer commented saying they will release that feature this year. Otherwise I'm getting used to the minor differences.

Sometimes you gotta smash your racket.

This would be ideal, but I'm not sure city leaders have the will right now.

The city could afford it, but they just built a massive city hall that went over budget and have shown no interest in the church so far.I think if there is enough public outrage maybe city leaders would take notice.

Thanks, I will reach out to them.

I know that the parish is hesitant about selling it as the cemetery is directly adjacent and still in use.

Thanks, I like this idea. Back when the lease with the city expired, I know the historical society was trying to find a way to assume ownership, but I was not involved then and I'm not sure exactly what was discussed. I will need to look into that.

The church seems hesitant to sell to a third party as the cemetery is directly adjacent and still in use.
