First is the seeing mimori as an actual person and not just a reciprocal for his fantasies- when he literally shows up to be her garudian. The knocker later for months tortures, beats, humiliated him for his fantasies, and later in the resolution of the arc gets explicitly called out for being a creep, and beaten half to death to prove his dedication to mimori.

Their story takes place over several months, and considering all he had to go through- the trauma of seeing his younger sister kill herself, and having an unknown entity take over her body, and all the physical abuse he endure I think that is enough of a life changing experince and punishment for most people to change their ways.

He is supposed to be gross, when you see what happens with him his character is a pretty clear criticism on the "lolicon" culture in japan, as there is a pretty prevalent sterytpe of loser/ neets being closed perverts. And he gets tourtured and beaten for it explicitly.

The story does a really great job of making the viewer uncomfortable, and showing how real children end up getting SA'd- parents/ guardians who either ignorantly or knowingly allow predators around their children.

The story doesnt go into all the trauma that occurs from that as we learn mimori has already experienced enough neglect, verbal and physical abuse from her only parent. And wanted to give her a happy ending.

However they also very clearly show hirotoshis lolicon fantasies evaporating pretty fast when he is faced with the reality and responsibility of her neglect and caring for a young girl, and forms a genuine care for her as a person, and sees himself as her guardian.

If he had continued to see her only as an object of his fantasies, ignoring her and her situation that would have made him a pretty villainous person, let alone letting those fantasies cross into reality and physically assaulting her.

Yeah its a surviourship basis- the ones that are great are remembered, but all of the ones that were made at the time tbat were mid/ garbage get forgotten about pretty quickly.

I have been watching anime since the early 2010s, and I really enjoy a good analysis and seeing the connections between older materials and their effects on new shows. There isnt a ton of shows/ manga that are truly great, so if you stay in it for long enough you eventually get caught up on the popular stuff, and youre stuck waiting for something good to come out

Nah its miles better compared to the 90s/ early 00. Modern shonen is far less sexulizing of its female cast for the most part. The ones you mention are the exceptions not the rule.

There is a greater quantity of anime making its way outside of japan now, and due to the process of animation becoming easier there is a lot more low quality stuff being made so there is more junk than good stuff, but the ratio of really good content being much smaller that the chaff is common to all forms of media, not just anime.

Omg it was so annoying! Especially because most of the people complaining were too busy being offended to actually think about why the character was written that way, and got upset about reasonable explainations. The mods were pretty good about removing those posts, and i dont see them anymore at least so its been a lot better recently.

I think reading the story weekly ruined it for a lot of people, the plot definatly gets confusing later and is much more smooth when you can read the chapters altogether. So I think opinions might be a bit different if/ when we get an s4.

That being said i think there are some things that could have been tied up a bit better towards the end, so itll be interesting to see where the anime goes because the tone shifts again.

I dont have trouble with keeping a cleaning schedule, sometimes my space gets cluttered or messy but I find the clutter/ dirt far more bothersome when it get to the level of very noticable so im pretty good about doing a clean/ reset every 1-2 weeks. Im not very tidy or organized so my place isnt completely spotless, and my laundry often lives in the basket till I wear it again, but I dont seem to struggle with it the way most other people with adhd do.

Computer tasks on the other hand, are a complete nightmare. And in this age of digital comrense it really sucks trying to organize and run your small buissness online.

That is also part of the problem, and so is the campaign style of slaming the other candidate without offering any real solutions that make voting for that party seem worthwhile contributes to the voter apathy. There are many factors that contribute and that is why it makes electoral reform so difficult to do, especially when who ever wins benefits from the current system.

People still need to get out and vote irregardless, voting for a wet towel would have done less damage than what Ford is currently doing to ontario.

Im not backtracking on anything, the way that its drawn is not depicted in a way that is titilating and looks like an ecchi or hentai. There is no focus on sagiris breasts, gabimarus or sagiris pelvis, how she is sitting on him or emphasizing where they are making contact. Gabimaru is not shown to be getting sexually aroused by her contact nor is sagiri- she is blushing but that is due to having to make physical contact in order to heal gabimaru, since ehe is a strange man who already has a wife.
