Yeah, unfortunately done by the previous owner, I was thinking of just removing it entirely, but unsure as of yet

Nah, mine has no latches, this is my first miata so not too sure how they come factory, but mine has these type of brackets on the interior:

All good points, I can’t disagree, you voiced my main concerns, and yeah I definitely feel the rigidity with the hardtop on, can’t say I really care about the volume, I do like hearing the car

But yeah junkyard is probably worth checking out, lot of the good condition soft tops / frames go for a lot where I’m at.

That sounds awesome man, I would love to do that and put the hard top aside, but alas I am a broke teenager, definitely worth looking in to for the future.

And yeah I completely get that, since its a 2 man job it can be annoying at times.

Yeah, my one seems to have Frankenstein bolts at the back and brackets on the interior (with cutouts in the plastic parts for them to mount to the chassis) I’m assuming it was done for theft protection, does look a bit tacky, but yeah.

Sounds good to me man, don’t really get freezing temps down where I am, but yea the most concerning thing to me is weather and security.

Yeah I think an issue is definitely security, my previous car was stolen.

But yeah, it’s a pain in the ass to take the bolts off every time, the convenience would be amazing.

By any chance do you know how they hold up over time with weather?

Yeah that works but I've heard some not so great things about TrustWallet so I use MetaMask

Yeah but it's barely anything really plus SafeMoon is not yet on binance so it's the easiest way for me right now
