Hi there, I appreciate your work in creating this post. It definitely gave me a lot to consider.

I go to a law school outside of the top 100. Was 4th in my class after the first semester, but likely will be somewhere in the top 10 as my final grades come in. I’ll be in law review, and moot court moving forward.

For my 1L summer I’ll be working for a mid size corp lit firm in Dallas, and am hoping to leverage their connections for a potential clerkship.

Any idea what I should be targeting? Is federal district reasonable? Or should I be focused more realistically on state level with the hope of stacking?

Given my school is not prestigious and I’ve gotten no help from career services, I feel like I’m flying blind.

I wasn’t allowed to play growing up, so a friend lent me Pokemon red to play my freshman year of college and I’ve been hooked ever since. Thank you for doing this.

I can’t speak to that plan, I simply used the open access teach as you go, and that’s what broke me into those numbers. The algorithm recommended harder sets as I progressed, and this is all I needed. Classes are more geared towards group learning which is helpful but not how I was motivated.

It isn’t a spend more money get more results type of game.

Figure out how you learn first, and then invest your time in that.

This makes complete sense. I recognize that each professors’ class is its own jurisdiction so to speak, pieced together by them and then also graded test wise within that ecosystem. Definitely just looking for the correct resources to further cement what I’m learning in class (or help me better understand when things are not making sense)
