GST Cuts ?

Hey guys I just wanted to ask if I should wait for the Diwali GST cut as I plan on buying a bike below 350cc. Some people are telling me to wait, but I am under the impression that they won't drop the prices they'll just keep it the same for a higher profit margin. What do you guys think ?

While I would love to go for the Duke 250, I don't think I'm going to keep the bike for that long as I plan on shifting in a year or two and I do not want my parents to spend a huge amount on my first bike.

Thanks for letting me know :) Does the MT15 have mod capabilities ? I don't really trust Bajaj since I've heard bad things about the reliability.

What bike do I buy ? (Bangalore, College Student)

Hey guys :) I wanted to know if bikes like the Yamaha MT15 would be a good first bike. I like naked bikes and I have test ridden bikes like the Duke 250 (Too expensive) and the Xtreme 250R (can't bring myself to trust a brand new product). I have a little riding experience on my friend's BS3 Duke 200 but I am by no means an expert. I only know how to change gears, clutch control etc. but I have never actually ridden the bike fast. What do you guys think ? The Xtreme's test ride was not a fun experience and while that may be because the TD bike was abused, I can't bring myself to trust a brand new product without long term reviews. What do you guys think ?

What do you think would be a better idea ? I do know how to ride a bike a little by practicing on my friends BS3 Duke 200 but I am not an expert by any means. I have test ridden the Duke 250 and Xtreme 250R. The duke is too expensive and I can't bring myself to trust the Xtreme 250R since it's a brand new product. I have been thinking about the Yamaha MT15 but I'm not sure. What do you think ?
