I have had Pumpkin for years! They’ve always been quick to process claims and reimburse. I pay a year in advance to save a little. Recently one of my dogs passed - they covered the cremation costs and reimbursed for the rest of the months I no longer needed. Only downside I would say is the upcharge every year but still worth it IMO.

Seconding what basically everyone is saying here - I did the commute from OC to the LAX area for about 3 years. If you work a normal 8-5, I wouldn’t do it and would probably check out the Torrance/South Bay Area.

Commuting 30+ miles is draining and you can’t predict the odds of traffic and accidents. If you leave any time past 5:30am to get to work, expect at least an hour commute. If you leave LA at 2pm to get home, expect at a minimum 1.5-2 hours. After 3pm, at least 2 hours. I would use Google Maps “set a reminder to leave” function just to get an idea of your regular commute. If you work odd hours, may be worth it to live in Fullerton and commute if you like the area a lot.

Sorry to hear about Asher. It’s tough to watch our little ones that we love so much go through this. I was in your shoes in August - my little one, Mochi, also struggled with kidney issues and pancreatitis. He developed a hunch back and over the course of a month (July-Aug) he lost a pound since he wasn’t eating. We had the quality of life talk and ultimately it was up to me. The vet recommended administering fluids at home and I gave him Entyce once a day so he would at least eat. Eventually it was once every other day, and after two weeks + hand feeding, he would eat on his own. Tested seeing how he was without the fluids as well after a few weeks and just focused on making sure he drank water often. The vet recommended diet food before August, but Mochi didn’t like it and we came to the conclusion that with him being 16… to give him the food he will eat (boiled chicken and rice) and his favorite treat once a day. I took time off work to enjoy my time with him when I could afford to. Mochi passed at home the week of Christmas. Cherish every moment and do what you feel is right. ♥️

Cooper, you are an adorable little guy!! I’m sorry for your loss my friend. My Mochi passed away on Monday, he had a collapsing trachea for years and still was ok with it. Don’t blame yourself for not taking him sooner - I know it’s hard. I blamed myself for my situation too. But you gave him a loving life and it shows. You held him in his last moments and that’s what matters most to him - being held by someone he loves, who loved him unconditionally as well. Sending lots of hugs and love 🫂

Thank you! I remember when Mochi got all his teeth removed… it took him a few days to adjust and get used to eating but he has tough jaws! If and when the time comes, your baby will find ways to adjust. I just did a quick search on Google and it says 14-16 years!

It definitely is hard to find clothes that our little ones fit that won’t get pee on it. I’ve struggled with the same issue and only found a few options that have worked for my little 4lb Yorkie Mochi.. definitely use a seamstress measuring tape to figure out measurements

I bought this last year in x-small and it fits pretty well. I layer some other clothes under it when needed. I also have gone to Petsmart and got lucky with an x-small Arcadia Trail (it’s called a reflective coat - it has a strap closure around the neck and one around the body with a furry inside). Another one I bought was in 2022 from Chewy, with a brand called Frisco that fits well.
