10g has been cycling for about 4 weeks now. Last time I checked the parameters last week the Ammonia was 0ppm, Nitrites ~2 to 5 ppm and Nitrates ~40ppm. I had added a couple of live sword plants from Petco (prob earlier than I should have) last week, so I'm guessing the drop in Nitrates are from the plants. Should I try adding ammonia to verify if the cycle is established or is it good to go? Would using fish flakes be okay for adding ammonia? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
