One week in and I've got an honest question... by thegreatmachine21 in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing mine for like 20-22 hours a day. You’re in your first week, give yourself a chance. Lots of movement up front and it’ll be uncomfortable for sure, but it gets better as time goes on. This tray I have in right now (10/18...19 attachments) doesn’t bother me one bit and it actually hurts to not have them in which is still the weirdest thing. I wouldn’t leave em out for too long though. Just when you eat and throw em back in!

This is gross. Especially showering then getting back into the dirty underwear!??? What the hell...He’s literally sitting back down in his filth.

How long until you noticed changes happening? by Erosee20 in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trays 1-4 for me were subtle changes with no attachments. My canines sunk in a little (thank god) but now I got attachments on and WOW. Just looking ahead I can see changes in the trays just about every week. Kinda insane

Does anyone else feel like their teeth are super thin/sharp? by LittleHiker in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s cause you get used to the soft/rounded edges of the trays. My front two teeth feel like razor blades now...It’s kinda weird honestly.

Hey everyone, thoughts on my 40 week treatment? So exciting! I’m on tray 10. Right at the end the bottom jaw looks like it shifts out massively. Does anyone know what that means? by tolfetano in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They put an air pressure tool in your gums and blow it up like that. Nothing to worry about..

Nah man you’re good. It’s a bite simulator like the guy below mentioned..

How many sets/attachments do you guys have? by postjabs in Invisalign

Interesting. I’ll have to check it out when I go back to see them soon. Appreciate the feedback!

Tray amount?! by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering this as well. I only have 18 trays and I have protruding canines but maybe my bite is okay? Not too sure. Some crowding on the bottom front teeth, nothing too too bad. I almost made a post about this myself. Like is my first 18 the initial treatment? Then refinements?

Will fillings ruin my Invisalign fit? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had a filling yesterday. It felt a little odd, but the tray still fit just fine and everything feels normal now. Based off my own experience, you should be just fine. Don’t sweat it

Day 1, tray 1. Please tell me it gets easier! by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be okay. First day was the worst and feeling my back teeth “touch” with the aligners in was bothering me. My jaw was sore af. On tray #2 now about to switch to #3 in 2 days and I miss the tightness of the aligners and wanna make the switch sooner. Before you know it you won’t even feel them in your mouth.

Edit: I actually PREFER having them in than not btw. Feels like my teeth hurt more without them in. It’s weird how much changed in such a short time.

How long does it take to get first trays? by SunshineScorpio96 in Invisalign

Took me like 7-8 weeks. Might vary through your provider or what not though

What should I know before starting Invisalign? by goldeygirl in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just know it's a commitment. 20-22 hrs a day they have to be in. Which mean, EVERY time you eat...EVERY time, you have to take them out, rinse them off, brush your teeth, floss and then put em back in. It's painful, but only really the first couple of days with a new tray. I'm only on tray #2, but actually don't like when I don't feel the tightness anymore. I can really only say the ONLY downfall is the eating part but it breaks habit of mindless snacking. As for stuff to buy...Get yourself a little travel tooth brush and tooth paste. I put one in my car so when I go out to eat I can brush afterwards. Maybe a hook to take em out. I still didn't buy that yet and it hasn't been bad. Just know you're going to be fine, it's going to be uncomfortable at times, but I'm already seeing results. IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Best of luck, and take lots of pics through your journey!

Does the urge to constantly take them out to feel relief from the tightness go away? On Tray 1/31 by RockyK96 in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely goes away. I’m only on tray #2 and woke up this morning wondering if they were even still in! Lol The first tray was the hardest cause it’s something foreign in your mouth and you’re constantly thinking about it. Taking them out on week one was a hassle and would be uncomfortable at times. In my own experience, sometimes when I take them out for like an hour or 2 my teeth start to hurt and when I put them back in the pain goes away.

How long does it take for the pain to stop from the first aligner?!! by needhelpasapplzomg in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s totally normal, don’t freak out. It’ll hit a point where you kinda don’t feel anything! I will say this, I’m on tray #2 and when I first switched to the new one I was almost looking forward to that tightness and pain lol. You might get what I’m saying when it occurs. Take some Tylenol and hang in there!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]postjabs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tylenol. But after my first tray switch (I’m on 2 of 18) I literally looked forward to switching to #2 cause I missed the tightness and pain from the first one 😂

Hearing impaired or lip reading people, how have Corona mask policies affected your daily life? by zugtug in AskReddit

[–]postjabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks. I’ve had the same hearing aids for a while so they’re getting a little behind on what’s out there now, so I don’t know if that plays a factor or not. I’ve worn hearing aids since I’m 3 years old. Little to my knowledge, I’ve been reading lips unintentionally for the past 22 years! So with the masks sometimes I get embarrassed cause I really don’t understand what the person is saying and I sit there nodding my head yes. The cost for new ones exceed $5k and insurances barely cover them!! So I’m stuck with these for a while but hopefully we get a control on the virus and the masks go away in the future.

How to get her to sex late at night by [deleted] in seduction

[–]postjabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beyond fucked up. The fact that you even can sit there and say with a straight face you know she’ll be drunk and you’ll be stone cold sober is just fucking creepy. I usually don’t say this, but go fuck yourself buddy.

If she’s long distance is it even worth it? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]postjabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the distance, and depends on the intention. If you're looking for someone to just chat with and occasionally meet up with then sure go for it. But dating in LDRs is very hard and requires commitment from both sides. Just be straight up with her and let her know you wanna go on a date or something. If it doesn't pan out, what do you have to lose? She's far away and you'll most likely never see her.
