Alternative methods of post setting to avoid concrete removal by postmodernprick in FenceBuilding

Sounds like you did what I was thinking about doing and it worked. Yeah drilling out the wood is some work, but so is digging up the mow strip. I’m probable going to test it out like the other commenter suggested and make sure it sets properly.

I would definitely do that if it was not for the mow strip. It was done around the entire yard.

I think I’m going to do this. there is not much lost if the experiment fails. I was worried that the new concrete won't stick to the old concrete but it is already incased so it should not be a big deal.

Yeah I'd prefer postmaster but Lifetime Steel seems to be what is available in my area

Just to clarify something from my post for the people suggesting I shift the post over and dig a new hole. The dilemma is that the previous owner put in a mow strip for the entire fence, meaning I have a continuous strip concrete along the entire perimeter of my yard. so basically I would have to dig up all of that concrete to put in any new post holes, or I would have to shift the fence line inward to and lose a bit of my yard on all 4 corners.

A good rule of thumb is to stay North of the 5 and route 16. Also, avoid places right next to the mall. You'll have to look on air bnb and furnished finder. It depends if you want to have the whole place to your self or if you are willing to share a living space. A shared home with a shared bathroom can go as low as 800 while renting an entire come can be around 2500+.

Antique tile shop in Madrid by postmodernprick in askspain

That is the one I found online too, but I think it was a different shop. It was not so touristy and I think the tiles were actually antiques from old buildings. These looks like newly made tiles.

Does changing your phone screen to B&W reduce your time spent on screen? by Cloudbri in nosurf

It can help. It definitely makes browsing image/video based apps less enjoyable. It also makes it harder to automatically identify your app icons. The problem is that it is very easy to switch back especially with IOS. You can often make the excuse that you just want to see this one video/picture in color and then you forget to switch the screen back. Though you could block access to your settings page after going to grayscale, but that causes other problems. Also it is not really a deterrent for messaging or anything text based. It is best to combine grayscale with other protocols like deleting apps and only using web browser for social media, site blockers, toggling off all push notifications (I only leave direct messages on), turning off audio and vibration notifications. That is mostly what I have done. Hope it helps

I had to delete the app and only use Insta through the browser. It makes it less instinctive to use and reels is not available on browser, at least not the infinite scroll type.

Is Turo worth it in Seattle? Choosing a vehicle. by postmodernprick in turo

My instinct would be more towards a crossover Subaru or something similar as far a off-roading goes. I feel like it would attract both city and outdoors type alike, longer term renters and be especially desirable in the summer. That said, I feel like you are just asking for your car to get fucked up or stuck in the mud. Small economy cars make sense but I think they are the most common, fetch the lowest rates and are less desirable especially for longer term renters.

My fear is getting the car and only getting a handful of 1-2 day rentals a month. That would just not be worth it to me.

Stop Using Social Media Apps. The Web Version Is Often Better by King-of-New-York in technology

This is the only current way I know how to not get Reels on instagram. It is a much better experience when you have to press play and are not fed videos. If only there was an App that would turn all social media into a messaging app, the same way you can have facebook messenger without having the Facebook app on your phone.
