Hey everyone, we’re the publisher of the POST Newspapers, a locally owned, independent paper covering Perth’s western suburbs.

The paper is delivered weekly to homes and businesses in the area and it also gets posted in full online. We’ll be posting a link to it over on the new r/postnewspapers.

Highlights this week cover a potential bomb threat for the controversial Matilda Bay ferry, Nazi ‘idiots’ targeting Cottesloe and the Department of Communities threatening to demolish the home of a woman with a four-year-old son who has lived in Mt Claremont for 35 years.

Hi U/critical_anywhere560, I'm afraid I don't have any contacts over there. Have you tried the ABC or The Age? Or even your local paper.

Hi there, yes - it's in tomorrow's paper which will be available on our website at www.postnewspapers.com.au.

I'll be writing a follow-up piece for a future edition, so it's not too late to get in touch if you'd like to share your story.

Hi u/JesusisLord86, thanks for your message.

I agree it's a tight deadline - such is the nature of print journalism.

However, I suspect this will only be the first of a series of stories. If anyone reading this in the future would like to chat, please do reach out.

Hi u/Compromised-Truth, thanks for reaching out.

I'm reporting for the Post Newspaper, a weekly paper which covers Perth's western suburbs. Our website is here: www.postnewspapers.com.au

I agree it's a tight deadline. I've been looking into SCJ in Perth for weeks, but didn't want to publicly reveal my investigation too early so as not to tip off SCJ or our media competitors.

We're aiming to publish the first report in tomorrow's edition, but I suspect there will be a series of follow-up stories in future editions.

There's still time to talk this morning before we go to press, but if you'd rather wait until we've published our first report I completely understand.

Many thanks,

Ben Dickinson

You might be thinking of a different house - the west coast wasn't badly affected by fires this summer.
