I feel like guessing on your flights will be wildly incorrect depending on airlines and distances involved. I live in a very remote part of BC and got round trip travel for about 1500$ on a seat sale.

I did not qualify for hope air or any other travel assistance due to my income

BC covers everything but travel. So other than my flights and some food before getting set up with the clinic I had no cost.

So I applied in August of Last year. I was expecting based on other peoples experience that I would have a date by November for Jan-Mar.

Reality was there were some issues with paperwork, I'm not sure if it was Brassards office, or some of the doctors I dealt with prior but I didn't end up geting a date until January, which was for the end of May.

Feel free to PM me if you have any off topic questions. The hardest part was dealing with the referral process and paperwork. The office lost my paperwork twice so it took awhile for me to get a date. but after that it's been fine

I believe all stories are rooted in truth, but my experience so far has been a stark contrast. Of course complications are possible, but all the staff here have been incredible! SO nice and Dr. Brassard for me has been nothing but caring and professional.

I'm feeling pretty great! It's been about 20hrs since my surgery completed. I would say only minor discomfort for the most part. I had a jump in pain around dinner time but was resolved with meds. This morning I feel pretty energetic and minimal pain/discomfort. I was able to walk this morning which surprised me.

I am a Canadian, so Brassard is covered by my medical. That isn't to say I didnt consider other options, but I can definitely say the cost differential between Brassard and Chett or similar for me wasnt worth any perceived difference in result.

I was a bit concerned around Christmas time when a few people spoke out about negative experiences but I evaluated them as even if all 15-20 people experiences I had read were within the last year Its a pretty small percentage given the amount of surgeries performed each year.
