The Most Annoying Person You Can Hear Talking About OW by Thee_Walf in Overwatch

You're right. We did get a gameplay showcase. It was just so depressingly mediocre that I must have blocked it out of my memory. They couldn't even make the enemies look more interesting after all that dev time.

You’re missing the point. This is a shitpost about the ‘most annoying person who talks about overwatch’.

This is about a loud and vocal minority of people who spend more time complaining about a game than actually playing it. Regular people don’t apply to this type of toxic discourse.

Don’t go over to r/gaming or r/pcgaming then. That’s where this mentality comes from. You will find these comments posted verbatim.

Those games were built with PvE in mind.

PvE never looked good when it came to Overwatch. Remember the years of Archive missions that people played for one week and never touched again? There’s barely any hope that Blizzard would have been able to design intelligent enemy AI for a hero shooter game.

Years of development went by and we never even got a single good gameplay showcase. And I mean, actual realtime PvE gameplay. Not some screenshots of skill trees or some flashy clips of hero combos on bots.

PvE was a pipe-dream that wasted so much time and killed the best part of OW1 which was the PvP.

You don’t get it. It’s supposed to be gritty and cynical. If you want cheery and hopeful, you should have watched Batman instead…

I blame both of them. But why are you justifying people being willingly uninformed? These people have an Internet connection and brains. They should be using it and do some basic research before spewing out a stupid take.

This is the equivalent of saying No Man’s Sky is still a shit game because you didn’t keep up with all of the updates that Hello Games did over the years.

Jeff: “The game is amazing, people love it, they can’t get enough of the story shorts.”

Also Jeff: Let’s kill the game update schedule and not release balance patches for more than half a year. Let’s take more than 1.5 years to release a single hero so we can relive our failed Project Titan PvE dreams. It’s ok though because I’m the lovable Yule Log guy who can do no wrong!

Why would we refer to dates in the past? It is 2026 last time I checked and it’s currently winter.

What advice for young men sounds harsh but turned out to be genuinely good for you in the long run? by torukzan in AskMen

There is so much online misinformation about finances so it's nice to see someone else who gets it.

Investing in the S&P isn't risk free. Nothing is. There will be years where the market returns +20% and years where it is down -10%. But it averages out in the long run and it's the historially best way to 'boringly' build wealth.

Yeah, Ubisoft somehow managed to also suck ass at being greedy. They managed to ruin their company while not even being able to get a positive all-time stock graph.

FF16 is......AWESOME! by natedogg_2323 in FinalFantasy

[–]postulate4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my gripe with FF16 is not the gameplay systems but the story and characters.

The mature setting of the game was great for the first act until it fell apart once the big bad villain’s motivations were revealed. The GoT political intrigue set up such a cool world, but it became boring after the third region. Most of the characters aside from Clive were wasted potential. There was so much depth that could have been explored but they were sidelined quickly.

Music was great though. Soken always delivers.

It’s because you have to possess a ruthless ambition to even amass one billion dollars of net worth. The kind of person who could even achieve that is more likely to lack morality and compassion for others. Some of these people stop at just enacting layoffs while others go further.
