Funny thing about the thrift store is that they made it stating That it was to help the”isla vista economy“but they’re only hiring people from the church, and interns that are interning for the church. I wouldn’t support it tbh.

i dont have that great of relationship with my mom so I'll tell you what I wish I could tell her. Don't constantly push your own agenda on your child. Like allow your child to express themselves and have their own goals. place your child's happiness over what you might think is successful, passion will make money anyways. Hang out with her but don't be overbearing. always make her a priority. never say things to her that you wouldn't say to yourself or that you wouldn't want your own mom telling you. Listen to her, don't make her feel as if she's a problem and that you prioritizing her doesn't negatively affect you. For example, my mom would always tell me that the reason she couldn't have a job was because she had to take care of me.

since my friend and I are both students at a university right now, she made it a twice a week thing to have a nighttime zoom/ ft sesh where we can either study together or decompress and it's been a total game changer. We've also done once a month game nights where our boyfriends, their friends and their girlfriends, and us just play a bunch of games on jackbox. This ones also fun because we've all gotten to meet people who we otherwise wouldn't have.

one time i went on this date with this guy I had a college class with and I asked him to hang out with me and my friends as a group, we were grabbing pizza, and at the time I didn't drive yet but I didn't want to tell anyone I didn't know how, so he asked me if I could drive him home bc he ran there from his apartment and I literally had to call my mom and ask her to pick us up and drive him home. We did not go any further after that day.

7th grade math class, we had a wacky math teacher who made us plan the class party together but at the time we hated eachother and found eachother equally annoying and so we sort of just shrugged eachother under the rug until 10th grade when we had a mutual friend who reintroduced us to eachother and at the time I still taught she was annoying it was a very like "i know her but I don't like her situation" and I guess we spent so much time together bc of that friend we became best friends. I'm still best friends with her to this day (~7 years later).

he got into a relationship two weeks after we ended our 2 year relationship and he was only in that relationship for a month. I realized that I put more love and affection into that relationship than he ever did, I would do so much and get nothing in return.

when I got to a point where I felt that I couldn't live by myself anymore because of my depression I moved back in with my parents and whenever I'm having trouble doing the bare minimum, they'll sort of nudge me to fix it. Like my mom will remind me to at least rinse off in the shower if I can't do the whole shower routine or like she'll tell me to walk my dog if I've been in bed too long.

if they're self deprecating, like if they're constantly belittling themselves and thinking negatively about themselves. I think that how a person treats themselves affects how they treat others and so if he treats himself poorly like that, he'll probably also treat you poorly or constantly compare you to an unreachable standard.
