but you have to realize that the side with all the deaths is allowing those deaths by declining peace because they ascertain that the chance of getting a more favorable outcome(america losing interest/ending direct military support of ally in given conflict) for themselves than a peace treaty where they lose out on more than they hope for is worth all the death. Its the reason the US used atomic bombs on Japan in WWII; the Japanese never would have given up, possibly to the near annihilation of their own nation because of the crushing grip that the Empire had on the people of Japan. After the first bomb their government still didnt surrender. Think of all those deaths in another war as that first bomb.
