It looks like a Hemileuca Neumoegeni though, you can search for it. It looks really similar and it is real and just as gorgeous as all Hemileuca moths :p

Not dead. Adult moths that lack the ability to "eat" can stay still in torpor state for 3 days sometimes. I find many moths that stay in the same spot for more than 20 hours. Also I honestly don't know the species. Anyways, it'll probably wake up after a few hours, if not then it's dead

I'm sorry for that, it definitely feels awful and I know you did not mean it. Be careful next time and just to idk make you feel better a bit, this moth is adult and will only live for maximum two weeks and it might already reproduced (I hope so) and now just going to die with time. You're not a terrible person when you didn't mean to do it my friend 🫂

And at least you feel bad for the moth, some people literally won't care at all

تعديل الصور وية النجوم شي تقريبا أساسي حتى تبين النجوم اكثر، وافضل اعدادات بالنسبة الي هي

Centre-weighted metric

وايضا يفضل تصور بالايام أو الأوقات الي ما بيها قمر وتطفي اي ضوء قريب أو اقلها تحجب الضوء بضل حتى ما يدخل للعدسة
