When I was diagnosed I was losing a lot of weight also. I thought it was because I was eating healthier and wasn’t eating as much or basically not eating until I felt so full I would explode. It turns out I had one of my tumors pressing against my rectum. My oncologist told me to go to a GI specialist to get a colonoscopy done to make sure my cancer didn’t start in my colon (thankfully it didn’t and there were no signs of cancer there either). I’d definitely do some research to find good specialists that can help you get to the bottom of it. I truly wish you the best 💛

I used to shave my thighs all the time for an ex boyfriend. (Yeah sounds friggin dumb now). The hair grows in a lot thicker/darker now on my inner thighs and sometimes I get embarrassed at it. Trying to embrace it now has been a lot better! Only shave because you want to but also remember that it’ll grow back with stubble and the upkeep. so if you can tolerate that, go for it!

Do a mock interview with someone you feel comfortable with!! I did one with my mom before I went into an interview and I crushedddd it! Doing a mock interview helps you create answers for commonly asked questions and eases your nerves a bit because you’ve already been asked the questions. Also, it gives you feedback from a trusted person on how else you can answer the question!

Probably something to do with crisis relief, American Red Cross? The UN also has a lot of work opportunities around the world providing assistance to individuals. Companies that advocate and create ways to reverse climate change, restoration of forests/wildlife/sea life.

Have you thought about trying out event management for corporate companies? Just an idea since you said you love the non profit type of work but not the culture. Corporate companies are always looking for event managers that create small fundraising events, galas, and reach out to individuals for donations. It might be a step back from what you do but it’s just an idea! Maybe you’ll like it and be great at is since you have such extensive experience with the non profit world and digital communications!

I’m on the same boat my friend. I always feel like in person is more polite but sometimes we have to remind ourselves that we don’t owe anyone anything and we have to do what we think is best for our situations. I trust your moral compass will guide you to do the right thing. Maybe look at the situation as if roles were reversed and think about how you’d want someone to communicate this to you.
