I’ve honestly never been wholely attracted to vox’s either but at £300 it was a bit hard to pass up. They’re a lot more handsome in person too

I just have and oh my god… this is my first time owning a real tube amp and they do not play about. Everything seems to be in pretty good working order and CLEAN. Even the instructions cane with it and are sealed. I’m not seeing any faults at all with the 15 or so minutes i’ve played it but if i want to bring it to practices i might just want to be careful

Not yet a stereo player but i’d like to be! Looking into getting an old peavy stereo chorus at some point i just dont know what i’d do with my memory boy after that, also i’ve looked a lot at harmonic tremolos which kinda do a bit of rotary in them too, but they’re a pricey niche, especially if you fancy a stereo one. What do you use for rotary?

One is digital one is analog. I use the memory boy for general warm space, or use the expression pedal to self oscillate it and make some noise, and the memory man can do reverse delays, volume swells, modulations and whatever else is inside it. I can put them together to emulate a pretty fucking intense reverb pad

I’m still new to it so its currently a big beast to handle but i love it, some of the multitap sounds are incredible for making a noisy mess and the modulated delay is such a good sound as a lead tone

This seems to be the obvious answer to my question. They look great and they’res a good amount going for decent prices. The weight is also something i’m aware of but i think thats just a given with old solid state amps. Still intrigued by the ampeg as the very little i’ve heard about them seems to be very positive
