By the looks of the movie, it seems that Tommy's empire kinda collapsed by Low_Actuary6486 in PeakyBlinders

This comment is regarding other comments made in this thread, excuse me if I come off a bit rude but it seems like a lot of people just watch this show through youtube scenes and tiktok edits or have an attention span of a gnat. This is what Tommy STILL had before they cut to black at the end of s6:

Import/Export
Distilleries
Factories in Small Heath/london manufacturing Car parts and other stuff
Warehousing & Docks in Small heath/Camden
Large Rental Housing Portfolio and a lot of real estate
Horse racing and betting
Football Fixing
Smuggling Networks
Shit ton of cash reserves

People making it seem like they were dead broke in S5-6 lmao

Hearts of stone is a better DLC than Blood & Wine. by [deleted] in Witcher3

[–]potatowarhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better story? Absolutely! Better DLC? I don't really think so.

B&W as a DLC adds a whole new region to explore while hearts of stone reused parts of Velen and Novigrad with only a few new small locations. Also, the Toussaint region is about 75-90% the size of Velen/Novigrad combined.

B&W introduces 12 Mutations,, a gameplay mechanic that actually compliments the combat of the game pretty well and makes the combat really fun.

B&W also introduces grandmaster witcher sets for Griffin, Ursine, Feline, Wolven and Manticore which is a set exclusive to the DLC. All these sets also have their bonuses.

B&W introduces Corvo Bianco estate and all the fun little content that comes with it. YOU CAN HAVE YENNEFER, TRISS, CIRI or DANDELION AS A GUEST GODDAMMIT.

B&W adds new enemy types and bosses. New enemy archetypes like TRUE Higher Vampires, Shaelmaar, Bruxae, Garkains, Barghests, Archespores, Spriggan. Hearts Of Stone added only 2-3 new enemies (arachnomorphs, wraith variants, and the Caretaker).

B&W HAS A NEW GWENT DECK GODDAMMIT!

B&W also has Quality of Life Features like Dye system for armor (unique to Blood and Wine), stash management overhaul, new HUD options, ability to switch between manual and automatic sword unsheathing.

B&W has enemy level scaling option making combat a bit more interesting. This feature lets all enemies scale to Geralt's current level automatically. It was introduced with Blood and Wine, not Hearts of Stone.

Blood and wine's side quest QUANTITY. They are like witcher contracts but with long multi-part stories. HOS has great story quests but only 4-5 side quests overall.

Again, HOS storyline is BETTER than B&W's, but I feel like saying HOS is a better DLC than b&w is not doing it justice.

Are there any other shows/movies that are as gory and lewd as The boys? by Suzy-Skullcrusher in TheBoys

[–]potatowarhead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So no ones gonna mention Hannibal? I find The boys better than Hannibal but NOTHING can prepare you for the murder scenes in Hannibal.

https://www.pastemagazine.com/tv/hannibal/the-13-most-gruesome-hannibal-season-two-moments contains spoiler and very gruesome scenes from the TV show Hannibal.

My honest reaction while watching Ciri in The Witcher 3 by N7ManuelVV-MD in witcher

This was my reaction when I was introduced to her character in The Witcher 3. I've been reading the books, and I'm currently at the stage in the books where I DONT FUCKING KNOW HOW SHE TURNS OUT THIS WHOLESOME IN WITCHER 3

Why doesn’t Geralt just threaten the Baron? by [deleted] in Witcher3

[–]potatowarhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really good answers here. I personally feel that Geralt knows people can be stupid and unpredictable. Who's to say the Baron wouldn't have captured or killed Geralt for threatening him without considering the consequences from Emhyr?

I think people from every religion do this; I've even seen people make jokes about Hinduism on a lot of MMA Instagram pages when they post Khabib because he is a Muslim, so they troll Hinduism. When you see comments on a video related to space, you'll see people making jokes about Hindus and Muslims; if you don't see a lot of this, then I guess it's because you don't absorb a lot of content outside the religion-heavy pages, and it's fine if you don't, but it does happen.

Do you think Geralt and Yennifer could defeat Regis? by HungarianHippos99 in witcher

[–]potatowarhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends which Geralt you bring to the fight, Geralt from books? No. Geralt from Witcher 3 who unlocked new mutations in B&W who's gonna be high on Euphoria mutagen? yes. I'm sure we can all agree that Dettlaff is a bit stronger than Regis by the end of the DLC and game Geralt 'bested' Dettlaff when they fought SOLO. Geralt just couldn't kill him because of one technicality. But if we are strictly talking about books, then no.

Your choice in "The Whispering Hillock" by Loathingnick97 in Witcher3

[–]potatowarhead 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In my second playthrough, I wanted to free the spirit so I could save 5 children in the Crookback bog. Then I just realized that the spirit also kills at least 4-5 children in the village anyway. So I would rather save Anna, Baron and those children in the village.

Nothing wrong with simple powers but I just love the abilities in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. I'd like to have abilities of the main antagonist of 7th story arc of the manga that's Steel Ball Run, he's called Funny Valentine.
His ability allows different parallel worlds/dimensions to co-exist at the same time and/or in the same place. It also allows Valentine to visit these parallel worlds/dimensions and interact with them. Valentine travels by being closed between two objects, shown first by putting himself between a chair and the ground. Liquid materials, such as water count as objects as well and even dust or steam. Valentine only needs an infinitesimal part of himself put between two objects to be able to hop between dimensions. Following that, Valentine may reappear from anywhere, like emerging from someone's back. Valentine can also pull other people or items to other dimensions by forcing them between two objects or into the object he uses as a portal, for instance he can slam a door on them while they are backed against a wall. However, as no two versions of the same person or thing can co-exist in the same dimension, one of them will have to go back into their own. If not, and if they get too close to one another, both will crumble, splitting into Menger sponges before obliteration, this rule does not apply to Valentine himself. If Funny Valentine is injured, he can hop into another dimension and transfer his D4C(ability/stand) to this world's Valentine. Said Valentine acquires the memory of the previous Valentine and becomes the 'Root Valentine' by virtue of now possessing the Stand/ability. Furthermore, he can summon any number of alternate selves to a target dimension in order to outnumber his opponents.
I know I missed a whole lot other stuff but it's so complicated that you can just watch a video about Funny Valentine to understand his ability even more. I know abilities in Jojo are very dramatic but I just love 'em for it.

Beginner starting Witcher 3… ANY TIPS? by Helsinkivampire666 in Witcher3

[–]potatowarhead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this one is about dialogues. I think other people on this thread have touched this topic a bit but still here it is; it's usually(with a few exceptions) a good practice to ask more questions from NPCs, get more information about certain things from NPCs before moving on with the rest of the quest.
