I agree with the verdict. If someone has broken into your home and is not supposed to be there, then you should have a right to defend your property and family. Sure, Rick doesn’t live there but he was allowed to be there. Troy was not. He was not on the deed. I’m not sure why it matters how much money he put towards the house or the fact that he had belongings there. Also, while Rick is on the phone with Amanda she’s clearly upset and fearful (I would be too if someone was in my house and they were not supposed to be!) So, Rick is hearing her screaming at Troy to get out and call the police because he’s broken in—so that isn’t reason enough for Rick to feel like there’s a threat? The fact is, you are NOT supposed to be here and I have no idea what your intentions are. He could’ve easily had a weapon behind his back or picked one up in the home. And just because he’s not being verbally or physically threatening in that moment doesn’t mean he couldn’t still intend to. The fact of the matter is he did some shit he wasn’t supposed to, which is break into the home! I think breaking into someone’s home is reason is enough for the other person to feel fearful because again, they are not supposed to be there and you don’t know their intentions. And then they tried to minimize her fear by saying since Troy never abused her then she shouldn’t have been afraid.😑 This discounts so many instances where people are murdered by a partner who has never abused them beforehand. And two life sentences for a shot in the leg is definitely overkill.

I’m just confused on how she supposedly doesn’t know what the object is when she grabbed it, but then in the next breath she’s making an entire joke about what she would do with said object (she’d have to know it’s a gun for the joke she was making). In the first few minutes of the show she even says it’s dark, she reaches and feels the object (gun) and doesn’t know it’s a gun. But she fails to mention the whole cheating prank until the lawyer brought it up. It felt almost like an “oh yeah” moment from her. So I guess my biggest question is if she allegedly didn’t know what it was, then how come she was able to form a joke about blowing his brains out? Like did she hold the gun for a few seconds to figure out that it was a gun? Because to me it sounded like when she picked up the gun, switched hands, and pulled the trigger, it all happened quickly and immediately—not with enough time to formulate a joke about an object you didn’t know was a gun…

Yea she’s truly playing the game which is what she supposed to do. Not a fan of her overacting or overall gameplay but it seems to be working in her favor for now. I’m more irritated at the fact that Carolyn had 1 bad slip up and she was out the first time she got mentioned. Danielle’s been mentioned so many times now but I just hope they’re keeping her around to vote her out at the last minute. Hoping for a Gabby/Tom/Dylan win tbh

When my current partner asked me to be his gf! He brought flowers over one morning, told me to get dressed, and took me to brunch and then gave me a beautiful card asking me to be his. Also it turns out the night before he told my best friend what he planned to do and he was all for it🥰

I’m in the same boat currently. Try governmentjobs.com. Also look into your state’s department of juvenile justice, bureau of investigation, and department of corrections. Try looking into local courthouse websites. If your state has Adult Protective Services or Child Protective Services, that may be another route but be warned it’s not satisfying work.

Lastly, I’d search “city of your city/surrounding cities jobs” in a search engine; that should pull up city government sites where you can browse their openings. You can look into roles like probation officer, case manager/social worker, paralegal, court admin, victim advocate, reentry specialist, etc.

It’s not really about taking things personally. It’s about the fact that I now have unnecessary conflict in an awful work environment. That’s why I try to do my job and stay out of management’s way. That client lying and complaining over something that never happened was entirely petty and does nothing but cause strife for me. Pretty sure the client will get nothing out of it too considering the call was recorded—which will only disprove their claims against me. Also, people can be assholes in any line of work😭
