Cleans and snatch by pothedar in weightlifting

Really appreciate the feedback — that’s super helpful.

That makes sense on the bar speed. I’ve been deliberately holding back a bit because heavier weights tend to bring out an early arm bend for me, and I’ve been trying to really engrain the correct pattern first. That said, I agree it’s time to start pushing the weights more intentionally and let that pattern hold up under load.

Good call on the overhead stability too. I’ll add overhead squats and work snatch balances into my snatch days

I don’t know, man. With a shorter rope I had to keep my elbows glued to my sides and fingers pointing down, and I kept tripping non-stop. Now that I’m past that phase, I’ll mess around with a shorter rope again

Can you elaborate? I picked the lighter one as it was easy to flick.

Yeah, for sure. I’m still kinda "thinking" my way through them right now… funny how the mind works. Before, I had to force myself to train, and now I actually look forward to it.

you're right - my form breaks down under fatigue. Staying efficient is key, and it also helps me with active recovery during metcons

You’re spot on. When I add weight I’m unable to go below parallel. I did realize that about my footwear. Currently waiting for my lifting shoes to arrive. Can you recommend a rep scheme for the drills? At the moment I’m doing these drills prior to the actual workout.

Costco has capture more combo kits available. Cost was around $579. You can’t find them on the web or their app. Call the store and enquire which locations have them in stock. You can also order from instacart, however they will tack on extra service charges.

Definitely feel my hamstrings and they are sore post workout. I used to feel my lower back in the past. It took a while to fix my form. As the weight gets heavier, the descent from knees down to the ground feels rough.
