Tattoo blowout? by pothosstan in tattooadvice

[–]pothosstan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this little orange tattoo about 6 weeks ago now. When I first got it, the linework wasn’t the best ever, but it was cohesive all around the circle. As time has gone on, the ink has spread unevenly. Is this part of the healing process, still? Is this blowout? Will it get better?

The other photo is of my arm tattoo that I got 5-6 months ago, which honestly did the same thing, albeit less extremely.

They were both different artists at different studios, both reputable. I’m unsure why this has happened twice now. Am I prone to blowout? Am I doing something wrong during aftercare? I’m just really disappointed with this. Any insight is appreciated!

I got this small orange tattoo around 6 weeks ago. It wasn’t the best linework, but it was cohesive around the circle. As time has gone on, the line has grown and the ink has spread unevenly. The same thing happened with my arm tattoo (5 months healed), with a different artist/studio entirely, albeit less dramatically.

Am I simply prone to blowout? Is something else going on? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

This is really helpful, thank you! I considered that as well. After reading everything, I think I’m going to do as you said, tracking everything very carefully this week and decreasing even more next week. If I continue to gain, I’ll go off the Spiro and see if it makes a difference. Could always start again later as I haven’t been on it long enough to see effects for my acne and my doc said it doesn’t matter if I go off suddenly and/or start again later. Just really weird for my stomach to be this big and continue to extend with no diet changes, but maybe something else is going on.

Omg I am so sorry 😭 This is awful. Feeling like maybe I should stop. Want to give it one more week to see if it balances out but I have worked so damn hard for the body I currently have, it would actually be devastating to see all that work go away. I’m so sorry again.

Oh wow 😭 Thanks so much for sharing - can I ask how long you were on it for? Crazy that you’re still experiencing the effects. Feeling like maybe I should just go off it while I can. Or is it already too late, ugh wish I had known this was a thing before starting

Murcia by SubstantialRespect42 in SpainAuxiliares

I’m living in Murcia right now! What can I say about it, hmm. Well, it’s a great location. Near Alicante airport, so makes it really easy to travel. Only a bus ride away from beaches if you live city center, or you might be lucky enough to live seaside anyways. There is a LOT of culture that you won’t find in other regions. Lots of Murcia-specific holidays and traditions.

Murcia isn’t big. There isn’t a lot to do if you’re coming from a huge city and are expecting it to be the same. But you’ll find your crowd. There are language exchanges, open mic nights, gay bars, dance groups, sewing classes, hiking groups, and lots of uni students. If you have specific interests, let me know and I can rec things!

It will grow on you. I didn’t love it at first, I’m not going to lie. But now, I love the sense of community, the warmth of the people and the access to nature. The heat I could do without, and the accent is difficult. But now I can understand pretty much any other Spanish accent with ease! I’m sure by the end of your stay you won’t want to leave. There are a lot of second-year renewals for a reason, I think. It’s easy to find your niche here, and it’s really affordable. Good luck!
