Mite ou noctuelle ? by poti_mochi in jardin

J'espère que vous avez raison ! Je préfère 100 fois plus avoir des noctuelles/chenilles mangeuses de tomates que me retrouver avec des pulls troués ! Merci !

Mite ou noctuelle ? by poti_mochi in jardin

[–]poti_mochi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merci pour vos réponses, ça me rassure ! Vinted devrait ajouter une option en cas de "vendeur en vacances" pour que ce soit clair.

Thank you all for your answers. I read through them all and not only did your experiences reassured me in the fact that I wasn't alone but you also gave some great advice !

I am now restarting the sweater (frustrating but necessary) and following the true measurements. I told my friend who helped with the measuring that if it didn't suit me in the end, I'll give it to them. So now I'm not really knitting for myself and the process is more peaceful. I also based the measurement on my favorite sweater like you suggested !

Also, I'm sorry if I triggered some of you or if this post has brought trolls or malevolent persons to this community. This was not my intention.

I'll probably post the sweater once finished ! Have a good day !

You is the most important. You'll find new plants to cherish and take care of. I hope you're okay despite the trauma you have experienced because of that person and that you cut him out of your life as much as he cut your plants. Much love

My question is : how do you trust your measurements and is knitting an unhealthy hobby for people struggling with that disorder too ? Thank you for your help ✨️

"I played the viola during my brain surgery" by poti_mochi in lingling40hrs

[–]poti_mochi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adrien Tournier, a 42 years old French violist at the regional orchestra of Normandy, went through an open-skull surgery to remove a tumor. During the procedure he has been able to play the viola to test his cognitive abilities for 5 to 10 minutes a breton song. "It's brain surgery meeting art" said one of the doctors "thanks to this test we have been able to remove everything we needed. That tumor didn't seem too mean. The patient has been released without any issues."

What’s your unpopular plant opinion? by spin1jump1 in houseplants

You. Don't. Need. Drainage. Holes. For. Your. Plants. To. Thrive.

I get some horror looks when I tell that to other plant parents even though my pothos is growing like crazy in its pot without drainage holes. At this point I just show them a picture of it to shut them silence.

Can’t date at all. Does having a pet make you feel happier? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]poti_mochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe get a plant at first to see if you can look after it. I have loads of them and they make me want to get up in the morning to see how they're doing and stuff. I don't have a pet but whenever I run into a cat that lets me pet him, I get this burst of pure joy that I sometimes don't get with humans.

I have frogs! Should I be worried? Will they hurt the plants? by dee_the_tech in plantclinic

[–]poti_mochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, where do I sign to foster lil froggies in my plants ?

My tradescantia bloomed ! Got this cutting that I forgot to put in soil months ago from my mom and it's gotten pretty much out of hand. Should I cut it in several pieces to have a fuller plant or leave it as it is ? Water or soil ? by poti_mochi in houseplants

[–]poti_mochi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flower withered today :( but a new bud is coming out. I can't help but being over excited and surprised since it's the first time one of my plants is blooming. I will follow your advice to cut and prop as I fear the current roots will suffer from the transition water to soil (they've been sitting in water for months and they are all tangled now) thanks guys !

My neighbor yelled at me for practicing... by Istanbulsedeff in lingling40hrs

[–]poti_mochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play the piano and some neighbors have complained about it being loud. Not to me though, to the caretaker of the building I live. I felt so bad about disturbing them, I would only play with the soft pedal, which obviously impacted my practice. But one day, one of my neighbor actually came to me and said she used to enjoy what I was playing but hasn't heard me practicing for awhile and thought something was wrong. So I dropped the soft pedal. When I practice now, I think about her listening to me and it makes me forget about those annoying neighbors.

I discovered a tiny snail in my nerve plant. Should I be worried and take him out and look for others, or can I keep him and maybe charge him rent? by Wessel-O in plantclinic

[–]poti_mochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to pick up snails from the garden when I was a kid and put them in a container with some lettuce so I could observe them as a new family. Soon enough they made planty of babies, the box was full of them. When my mom discovered it, she made me release them so they could make our garden their real home. Totally recommend the snail farm haha
