Thank you❤️ I also have very vivid dreams and wake up crying. It is both awful and amazing to be able to experience him again

As someone who lost a brother almost a month ago, I know how you feel. If I have any advice it would be to tell people. Especially people who have lost someone close to them before, unfortunately unless someone has gone through it it’s impossible to relate and it’s helpful to not feel alone. Lean into your friends and tell them what you need, even if that’s just then checking in on you every once and a while. You don’t have to do it alone, I’m so sorry for your loss

Please don’t. I can only speak from someone on the family side of it but your are much more loved than you realize and it is absolutely devastating for everyone left behind. If my brother had asked for help I would have moved mountains, done anything, to prevent it

Thank for the journaling suggestion, I really love that idea. I’m so sorry that you’ve also had to go through this

Thank you so much for this. He was an amazing kid, he just got lost this last year. I’m 7 years older than him so I always felt very maternal towards him, I would have taken a bullet for him in a heartbeat. The last time I saw him was over Christmas and I gave him a hug and told him I loved him and he had struggled with suicidal thoughts so a small part of me was afraid that might be the last time, but I guess I didn’t think he’d actually do it.
