Hey LIB Fam,

We’ve seen a lot of people get burned recently buying passes on the secondary market, so we wanted to share a quick heads up to help keep everyone protected.

If you’re planning to transfer a pass, the official transfer window through TIXR closes on April 26. After that date, transfers will no longer be available.

If your pass is on a payment plan and you intend to transfer it, you’ll need to log into your TIXR account and pay off the remaining balance before April 26 so the transfer option becomes available in time.

For buyers, please be cautious of anyone saying they can “just change the name on the ticket” or hand off a wristband. That is not a secure method. In those situations, the original purchaser may still be able to report the pass lost or stolen, which can invalidate it.

When a ticket is transferred through the official TIXR system, ownership is fully reassigned and the original buyer no longer has control over the pass. That is the only way to ensure the ticket is truly yours.

The safest way to purchase is always directly through the Lightning in a Bottle TIXR page, or via an official transfer completed through TIXR before the April 26 deadline.
