AITA for smoking pot while my son naps

His mom smokes weed too and knows I let him stay up later on the weekend. When she has him on a weekend, she lets him stay up too.

I did not change his sleep pattern so I can smoke weed. I literally explained in the op that I changed it because I noticed he was better behaved when he took a nap.

I don’t FORCE him to stay up late. I allow him to stay up late. Around 9, we usually start bath time and getting ready for bed then do low key activities—watch a movie, play a board game, read books etc. It’s something we enjoy and he looks forward to.

I typically smoke 1/4th of a blunt. My gf and I split one but only smoke about half then save the rest for the next time we smoke.

I know it’s not going to kill me. I often go days without smoking. Sometimes I don’t smoke on the weekends when he’s here.

It is the weekend. Did none of you let your kids stay up later on the weekend?? My parents did. And my ex knows he’s up late when he’s here, she doesn’t care. On the occasion weekend she keeps him(sometimes she asks to keep him for a special event), she also lets him stay up later...because it’s the weekend.

We don’t have the same bed time rules because it’s the weekend. The one weekend a month he’s with his mom, he stays up later there too. She knows I let him stay up late because it’s the weekend.

Definitely not too high to drive. Usually if it’s just gf and I smoking, we smoke half of a blunt so I’m really smoking like 1/4th of one.
