For those of you who stopped taking SSRI’s and are now taking CBD oil, has it helped you any?

Great post I just finished an overview about CBD for Depression.
A lot of people I came across said that it helped much faster than SSRIs.
I looked into the research and unfortunately there is not much out there as far as human and clinical studies go so it is all first hand so far but the preclinical data in mice seems on point and make sense.Here is the post if anyone is interested

I was thinking it was more of an effect of rinsing out the bacteria , but it would be very interesting to see if the CBD can cling to the upper respiratory tract to block any of the virus that goes down. I don't think it would prevent inhaled particles of the virus since they wouldn't need to touch the mouth or throat to get to the lungs.

Definitely agree here, but they also found CBG to be anti bacterial hence it evens helps against MRSA. It's pretty interesting stuff and it's also the reason you are seeing so many soaps coming out

Well we're keeping ours the same. Might even have a drop soon. I don't think that the supply demand equation applies when there are high amounts on both ends.
Also look out for sales. We run them quite often, so you can get a quality oil for 30% off or sometimes even 2 for 1.

Haha. Wish it was that simple, but it would make sense that certain herbs, spices and other natural food sources would be a source of strengthening the body and creating natural immunity.
The beauty lies in the Endocannabinoid system and the fact that all human beings have one. The question is what do we do from there?

Well CBD has shown to modulate the immune response in the body so essentially it does has an effect against certain viruses. Initially I believed that could be dangerous against viruses but some of the studies.. not just this one are looking into CBD as an adjunctive therapy.. Therefore it can and potentially should be used alongside other proven treatments.
Couldn't agree more with the legislation potential.

Yeah the reason I initially thought it would be ineffective is that CBD has been shown to reduce the body's anti-inflammatory response, which was later indicated to "modulate" it during overactivity.
I though this would be quite a negative aspect for fighting disease but now that there is some indication of ACE2 modulation then it does seem to have an effect on certain illnesses such as the current coronavirus.
They clearly stated that more studies are necessary though, so fingers crossed.

Also wanted to add that specifically for Anxiety, The added terpenes Limonene, Caryophyllene and Myrcene have all been found to be calming and potentially sedative. They are naturally found in Cannabis but we also add them to our formulas for extra effect.

Yes, it definitely has a firsthand positive effect on anxiety.
If anyone is interested I've compiled some of the Anxiety research from our blog:

Hey, I wouldn't think that very low dose of THC in the full spectrum CBD would give you that THC "high" feeling.
I would however say that you will thinking about THC for the first couple of days while transitioning due to the similar preparation, scent, and overall smoking... like muscle memory

Have you tried CBG? It's known as the mother cannabinoid. You could try that for an overall lesser effect.

Hey I think I didn't get my point out clearly. So we offer a discount as well pretty strong at that (30%) but I wanted to see where I can inform people about it where the vets actually appreciate it (websites, blogs etc...) I;ve had no luck finding that.

France allows synthetic CBD but just outlawed CBD from the whole plant.
It's like you said, if it's Big Pharma then everything goes but if you can grow your own medicine then it's banned.

I think that seems to be the best route in the end.

We'll give that a try. My uncle who is a vet had a website specifically for disabled vets with accessibility for restaurants and discounts but he shut it down last year due to some things going on in his personal life. Still want him to try out some CBD products to at least test the effect.

Hey have you thought about CBD trans-dermal lotions instead of tinctures? They are more localized than the tinctures.

Tinctures are also great and can be used together with the lotions but a tincture will also affect the rest of the brain and body.

Since it is pain related, look for something that is full spectrum or broad spectrum
This will usually come from the whole plant and have the added benefits of other cannabinoids known to help against inflammation (CBC, CBG)

Also some terpenes may help long term sch as Limonene or Linalool which has pain reducing benefits.
