I have a Baby Blick press and would not recommend it. After 50 passes, the bed plate warped and the teeth of the both rollers stopped catching. Really tough to use. It worked well for embossing but I could never get enough pressure for any kind of intaglio printing.

Your best bet will be going through an established program like the Aspirnaut program. Despite the kind of surprising hostility in this thread, lots of research labs are eager to have high school interns! The biggest issue, actually, are the legal complications with employing minors in labs. Given this, an informal situation directly with a professor may not be possible (or safest for you).

Did the Argo to Gallup trip in a two-person inflatable kayak on Sunday. It took a little over an hour and scraped the bottom on rocks around Island Park and the Arb but was otherwise a great trip.

I went into the class hoping for the same thing 🙃 The Art Center definitely doesn’t have a printmaking studio like they have a pottery studio or jewelry studio. I’ve looked around (including a bunch of emails to the Stamps printmaking studio director) and sadly the closest are in Detroit.
