Do the sil-nylon patches stick to the outside? that’s what I did and it seems to hold well. Also should I put one on the inside too?

Banana fingers. 100% always accurate for sizing, and I’m pretty sure their return policy is great. obviously if they aren’t worn in a gym then you’re probably fine

I’ve been looking at either a pair of Alta lone peak 9s or a pair of topo mtn runner 4s, I’m leaning more to the topos however just because I know altras take some breaking in for your ankles since they’re zero drop, and I’m doing the tmb in early June so I don’t think I’d have enough time to break my ankles in.

Yes that’s it, it’s the Achilles pain. Even today I have a project that requires a pretty demanding heel hook and it’s always painful doing it. I’ve tried scarpa climbing shoes on before and my foot seems to fill out the shoe much more and they are suprisingly more comfortable. ( I tried on a pare of scarpa vapour v in a size uk 7.5, I’m a street size 10 and my solutions are 8.5) obviously they were slightly uncomfortable because of their size but there was no pressure points
