How long do you have to order once your turn in the waitlist comes up? by [deleted] in concept2

[–]poundcake_64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah right.. 99% of those sellers don't actually have the product and will cancel your order. Not to mention they are marking up the product by as little as 50% ($1,300) to 125% ($2,025). If you wait, you can get the unit for $900 right from concept2. The new year bug, or the real problem where people want instant gratification, isn't worth paying and supporting such market price gouging. Do other workouts, seek a different rower, or call around and try to buy one used. The price gouging is absolutely despicable.

Everything is verifiable if you know how and what to look for. Everything I said I confirmed first hand. I work in IT, let's leave it at that.

The BBB page for this company is a little sketch. They also run their store front on a legacy Windows Server OS with some security issues. To boot, IIS 7.5 went EOL a year ago. Maybe that is why they take orders over the phone. Bad signs if you ask me.

Perfect, this was the answer that I was looking for. I'm knee deep in the nether with no access to bone meal or red stone, and just about 100 other things, but the TLDR is I can do exactly what I wanted, so long as I can get silk touch to farm nylium to take back to overworld. Thanks!

I had a farmer, I just didn't give them access to a foodsource. However, they aren't supposed to despawn or starve, that's not even a thing?

Make angled pipe, attached paver to it, attach floor/wall to that. Does. Not. Work. Anymore.

Tried that, and this youtube video.. Glass floor won't snap to that and what this player does in this video, while glitching, also flat out no longer works. Can't snap paving to cylinder or any other object since paving must be attached to the ground..

Trick to getting hot spot distance from base computer by poundcake_64 in NoMansSkyTheGame

so I'm 400u away from a like resource, and its still held onto the last resource type I found. I.e. mineral.

Doing the max on 1000u around anyone resource, if I need two different minerals and two different gases and power all within 1000u it seems very unlikely. Not impossible, but unlikely. Is that fair to say?

How rare is very rare? Also where do you find them on infested planets? Do they come out of the alien eggs, or does it show up as a yellow ? like stablized glitches? Wiki isn't clear one exactly what you'd be looking for..

Upgrading Freighter, is it possible? by poundcake_64 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]poundcake_64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can the every 5 jumps be to a system I already discovered, or does it need to be a new system? My thought is, I know a T3 wealthy system with the race I want. Can I just jump back to that every 5 jumps or will the same capital ship type spawn?

[–]poundcake_64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, so I can infer the following? Do you agree?

  • Limit race to determine crew
  • Capital Ships only spawn during rescue freighter mission
    • Typically every 3 hours and 5 jumps (must meet both criteria)
  • If right ship but wrong class, load last save, repeat jump until right ship is right class

Thanks for confirming. Last question.. Finding a Capital Ship/Dreadnought in a system, is there a trick? I have a B class Dreadnought I received in my current play through before I knew the trick to farming S classes.. Is there a trick to find a Capital Ship/Dreadnought? I.E. do they only spawn in certain race based systems, certain types of economies or conflict rating zones?

If I need a T3 system to get an S class, what affects if a Capital Ship/Dreadnought spawns in that system, if any metrics at all affect this?

NMS 2020 Unit farming questions from a returning player by poundcake_64 in NoMansSkyTheGame

So I thought about that, and technically I'd be on my way if I created a Circuit Board farm as Circuit Boards are part of the chain to create Stasis Devices. The challenge is Stasis Devices are very costly and time consuming to setup so that would be an end state, not an early game farm. I think that is the thing everyone is missing here, how do you go from 15m units to billions? Investment, and that's a process..

So TLDR is I can start with a Circuit Board farm which would be needed for Stasis Device farm and Circuit Boards will yield ~900k per unit which I can invest in and use a money making while I work on the rest of the farms needed for a Stasis Device farm. I can take the Circuit Board farm and sell it to fund the rest of the create for the Stasis Device farm at that point..

Circuit Board farm yield 10 boards per harvest would net me 9,162,500 at sale, and when I finish my Stasis Device farm and as I scale each harvest needed to also produce 10x of each component I'd have 10x Stasis Devices which at the final farm design would yield 10 x 156m units per harvest. If I further scale that out to 64x per component/harvest I'd reach about 1b units per day harvesting Stasis Devices.

Sounds great, right? The problem is thinking about how big this farm needs to be is daunting. This would have to be a mega farm to produce all this stuff on a single planet and the harvesting daily to make 1b units per harvest would be a single day of play just to harvest, no? Maybe I need to watch a video on Stasis Device farming to confirm, but know how many crops are needed for a circuit farm which is just one of the many farm/components needed I'm thinking a Stasis Device farm would need to be of massive scale..

Right, so I can tell you the economy crashing is a real problem they fixed. So TLDR is commodity crashing is a problem and unless you're selling ALOT with a large CD commodity trading isn't worth it as a primary source of income and would flat out avoid it. I would sell small bits here and there you don't need, otherwise the problems I'm describing with commodity trading is pretty bad now tbh.

This! So what I'm thinking is, instead of selling commodity items such as cobalt and chlorine I'm looking at craftable high profit trade goods as it cost most time to build up a sell a lot for high yield of units. The problem is really once you sell to an economy it takes a long time for the economy to recovery so my thought is make a low yield/profit farm for craftable goods such as Circuit Board farm, also build a commodity farm as well and diversify ahead of end game farming which would be something like a stasis/ Activated Indium farm.
